IDEA: For Life Progressive

5 replies • Last post

They have a neat scratch lotto game here in Michigan right now called the "For Life" game. Basically a gambler can win cash for the rest of your life if you hit one of the big wins. A guy a couple of towns over won big a week ago.

I believe you can win $200/week for life all the way up to $4,000/week for life.

Wouldn't it be great if there was a casino that offered this as a game? With all of the great progressives, why couldn't they do something like this? I would play a game like this for sure.

What do you guys think?

I would DEFINITELY play that game in a casino. I have seen lottery tickets like that here, too. How nice would THAT be to win.

Yup. I definitely like your idea of having a progressive win casino game like that. 🙂

Let me play devil's advocate: how many online casinos do you expect to be around for the rest of your life?

I would also say that the ridiculous payout plans of many casinos, particularly a lot of Playtechs that only pay up to $9,999 per month even if you win a multi-million dollar progressive, are effectively the same thing.

Also of course, consider inflation. $200 a week might not be much money in 30 years time.

If it was a government run casino then maybe I'd play, but a private one? No way.

Allow me to play devil's advocate to your devil's advocate:

Even if a casino was not around forever, if the funds were set into a revolving trust, you could be OK. It could be the same thing as a lottery fund, or at least similar.

Even with inflation, is $200 a week better than a stick in the eye? I'd still take it even if it was worth half of what it is currently.

I agree that there would be a lot of obstacles, but that's what makes the idea mill go around. Maybe someone will come up with something like this and reap the big marketing boost that will come of it.

Oh, and I wouldn't want to argue with you in court ever. Your rebuttals are always pretty solid and it makes it harder to disagree with you.

Hahah thanks.

Well if Americans are ever allowed back at the Playtech casinos, you can pick one of the dodgy ones and play the Beach Life or Marvel progressives and if you win you'll get exactly what you're asking for!
