Pay Euchre?

8 replies • Last post

I don't know if I ever asked this before, but I have been searching for a while and never found anything.

I like to play a game called Euchre. It is really popular in my home state of Michigan as well as the northern US. I have seen many live tournaments where people can play for money, but am wondering if anyone has ever seen this online.

If you know of a casino that offers something like this, could you let me know? I'd love to get down to some trump action.

My mom is a huge Bridge player, and she often talks about playing "bid Euchre." Although I grew up playing many games and card games, this is one I have not learned yet. Last time I was in Florida her and her friends taught me this crazy card game called "hand and foot," which you play with like eight decks of cards and the game goes on forever, lol, but it is a lot of fun.

Good luck with your search! 🙂

No I can't say I have ever come across a casino or card room with Euchre.

I used to play 500 heaps with my uni buddies, often when I should have been in class heheh. I think 500 and Euchre are almost the same thing?

Ha I think we lost something in translation there. The game is "500" and we used to play it heaps (a lot). It is really similar to Euchre by the sounds of things.

Yeah, mom plays 500, too. She plays everything, lol, but Bridge is really her game. She is always winning quarters, which she puts in a piggy bank all year long to save up for something. Bridge is really a thinking person's game, from what I have heard and read, so it is good for her, at 83 years old. 🙂

Ha, that is funny Ed. I just looked up the rules for 500 and yes, it appears to be very similar to Euchre, save for the Jokers in the game. It is interesting to see all the variations of these games out there.

What they need is an extensive competitive card gaming client like PokerStars to host Euchre, 500, bridge and all of the other games out there for real money. That would be a blast.

My youngest son LOVES spades. How about Cribbage? I love that two-player game. Hey, if they can do backgammon, why not all these card games? lol

The problem would be the collusion aspect. If you have players playing in teams of 2, how can you stop them from revealing to each other what cards they have? Thats what makes the real game fun!
