PokerStars Will Buy Full Tilt Poker

1 reply • Last post

There has been a lot of news regarding Full Tilt Poker in the past day. First off, the Groupe Bernard Tapie announced that it will not buy Full Tilt because the US Department of Justice changed its deadline to pay players to 90 days after the sale was completed.

News of this was met with shock, but soon after it was announced that PokerStars will buy Full Tilt Poker for $750 million. Of that money, it is estimated that $330 million will go toward repaying US players.

What do you guys think of this?

What I don't really understand is why Poker Stars will relaunch Full Tilt poker. I would think they would want to, at the very least, change that name. Many people will not read and research and will just assume and not trust. Do you think that is true or am I way off here?

The huge positive is that players, who have been waiting a very long time, will get paid!
