Using Visa Gift Cards To Deposit

7 replies • Last post

I have written a couple of times about how in the past I have been able to load funds into a casino account through a Visa Gift Card (I only have MasterCards with me for banking/credit), but recently I have found myself unable to load them into any casino sites.

Does anyone know what is up with this? It is kind of frustrating not being able to play at the sites I want to.

I have never used a Visa Gift card, but I would think it would be the same as any other card. I have thought about doing this in the future, so I hope you get the figured out, 'Slim.

Interesting idea. I will be watching to see if you have any success with this.

Barbado (what is your real name, mister? 🙂 ) Have you ever heard about Paysafecard or Ukash? Don't you have those services available in US or in your country? It's very simple to use both. In Portugal, when i want to use them, i go into a payshop (maybe you have those in your country) and with cash i buy a voucher. This voucher consists in a code of more then 16 number that represents the value of that money that you used to buy it. Ukash is available only in Payshops but Paysafecards are available in all ATM's around the wourld (if i'm not wrong).
Ukash info here: http://www.ukash.com/uk/en/where-to-get.aspx
Paysafecard info here: http://www.paysafecard.com/us/us-paysafecard/

I'd say what has happened is that the issuing bank for the prepaid cards has worked out that they are being used for gambling and blocked them. Have you tried a different brand or supplier? Sometimes that can work.

I will try a different brand and see what happens. I figured they would have gotten the idea they were gambling cards and blocked them.

It is something that is really more of a pain than anything. Bovada isn't accepting anything but VISA, and I don't happen to have one in my credit card arsenal. 😜

I did use Visa to deposit at Bovada. Keep us posted on the gift cards, because I have thought about using them in the future. I would appreciate it if you let us know how it goes, 'Slim, and if you have any success with any of them.

Will do. I have to run up to the store later and if I remember I will pick one up and post my results!
