Question about monies at Bovada

5 replies • Last post

I can't find a chat button at Bovada, either on the poker site or casino site, which I think is highly unusual, so maybe it is just me. However, I am very curious about something, so maybe someone here can answer me.

At Bovada, there are two separate places for the money you deposit. Some is listed under "Cash" and some listed under "Chips." It also shows "withdrawable," "bonus," and "playthrough."

I deposited some monies (can't remember if I took a small bonus or not right now) and I also deposited the 10 dollars they sent me through my email. What I don't understand is this (I will use 25 dollars and 7 dollars for an example):

Under Cash it says I have 25 dollars. Under Chips it says I have $7.00. Under "withdrawable" it says I have $7.00. Under the last two, bonus and playthrough it says zero. However, when I sign into the poker site, it says I have 25.00.

How am I allowed to use the entire amount at the poker site and not the casino site? I just have a little trouble understanding how (and WHY) they divide things up like this?

Maybe you know, CL-Ed or anyone else?

Thanks!

The Bovada Casino uses a separate balance for your Casino play. You need to buy Casino Chips, just like in a land based Casino. Your Cash balance can be used in Poker, Sports or Racebook, while your Casino Chips are for play in the Casino.

You can quickly transfer chips from your Casino Balance to your Cash Balance if you wanted to use the money to play Poker. At this time, we do not offer live chat, but if you would like someone to walk you through this process please feel free to contact Casino Customer Service at 1-866-234-1324.

Thank you so much for the thorough information. I do appreciate it. I remember the process being explained to me before, but I completely forgot how it worked, when I noticed i had more monies freed up to play poker than I did for the slots.

Thanks, again! Smile
