Yahtzee

10 replies • Last post

I have an odd question for you guys and gals out there that have played a lot of casinos, and it comes from my Mom.

She is wondering if there are any casinos out there that have a gambling version of the dice game Yahtzee. I told her I don't know, but I do know of a game that seemed similar (but I can't recall the name).

Have any of you seen this game out there or something similar? If so, where could she play it?

Thanks!

Yes, but not online. Is she looking for Yahtzee in an online casino, 'Slim? I am assuming so. I will keep her in mind if I ever run into anything like Yahtzee online. Her best bet will be to try a land casino, for now anyway.

I always wanted to play a Yahtzee game, too...just like your mom! I asked a friend of mine, and she said she had seen them. I first played on in the Wisconsin Dells, and now our land casino (at least one of them: Hinkley Grand Casino where I am going on Monday and Tuesday) also has the game of Yahtzee. I do have to say I was a little disappointed. I thought it would be a lot more fun, but I enjoyed being able to finally play one. Maybe I didn't hit enough good stuff to make it exciting. lol

Sounds like there are a few of them in Vegas, if you want to take her there, lol!

Good stuff! I will let her know there is a slot. I think she was hoping for some sort of game where you rolled a combination and got a payout, but I don't know if we will ever see that.

I think it would be cool if they set one up kind of like video poker, but Yahtzee instead. That is how I imagined it, B'Slim. Maybe someday.

My daughter went through a Yahtzee craze a while back when she was 4. We have a Toy Story version of the game. It gets very old very quick when you have to play it several times a day every day. Thankfully she's moved on to other stuff now!

The closest online casino game I can think of is Sic Bo. It only has three dice but you can bet on the various combinations that can be rolled.

We have a free Microgaming version here:

I played a few dollars in the Yahtzee machine at the land casino on Tuesday in honor of your mother 'Slim. It didn't do much for me. I also noticed that no one was sitting down at either of the two machines they have, even at the busiest times. Must not do much for others, either. I was surprised more people were not playing those two machines.

Yes! I bought my ticket for Friday. I just hit three numbers on Minnesota's Gopher Five on Monday for a whopping 15 dollars, lol. Better than nothing, I guess. That mega millions would be SWEET!

The guy in front of me at the gas station was buying 20 of them, lol. Someone is going to win, right? That is what I always say! Do you have yours?
