My Dream Online Casino

4 replies • Last post

Yesterday I stood at a cart with literally nothing to do for roughly 10 hours. Along with me were two of my co-workers and friends. In between sharing dirty jokes and talking about the death of Osama bin Laden I was left with a lot of time to think. As my mind jumped around from various topics from females to sports, sports to females, and females to food I suddenly began thinking how much more fun I would be having if I could be gambling online. Soon after that I began thinking of my favorite online casinos and what could possibly be done to improve them. Then it got really crazy in my mind; I started thinking about how I would go about building my dream casino.

What you are going to read below is my opinion of what I think my ultimate online casino would look like. Things may or may not make sense, and if they really don't feel free to comment and tell me why. I found this to be entertaining to me during my 10 hours standing in a clean room with nothing to do. Maybe by reading this you can entertain yourself and share what your ultimate casino would be like.

Slim's Casino Ideas:

Graphics- State of the art graphics would be the first thing you would notice at my casino. Things would be beautifully designed and have fluid animations. My website would look like Keira Knightley compared to the industry standard sites looking like Rosie O'Donnell. Transitions would also be smooth, making the experience feel first rate and assuring people that my casino is no fly-by-night operation. Think High Noon or Aladdin's Wishes Casino mixed with 3Dice.

Games- Slim's Casino would have the standard roster of casino games, from table games to slots and video poker as well as specialty games like keno. Where I would try to change things up is by trying to license games that people have come up with- much in the same way land based casinos do. Since this is my fantasy world and I have millions of dollars I would keep a person or two on exclusive retainer designing custom games for me because in my fantasy world I am a billionaire and can afford any luxury for my business.

Sports Book- Ah, the sports book. This would be the holy grail for my U.S. male customers. We would focus on sports all over the world, but we would also have a big focus on American sports. To help our newbie sports wagerers we would have a dedicated tutorial section which spells out just how sports betting works. To top it off when a customer finishes the sports tutorial and makes their first deposit they will be given a $20 free credit to use in the sports book. This would be combined with my state of the art graphics to show scoring and stats in real time. Think Bodog, but even better.

Cashier and Support- My cashier department would be awesome. I would have people that chat with you over the phone, through email and via instant messaging. What makes mine different is that you would believe the person you are chatting with is really Peggy, not the 40 year old Russian lookalike you see on the commercials. All of my departments would have someone available 24 hours a day, and treat customers with respect. Depositing would be easy as pie, and although we would have money processors available, we would work with major credit companies to make depositing and withdrawals a snap (in my perfect world, I have worked to legalize online gambling in all countries). Even better for players, withdrawals would be fee free; no ridiculous fees to draft a check or wire money into an account. Those things don't really cost too much money and we would cover this to make our customers happy.

Marketing- Slim's Casino would have a high tech marketing strategy. We would do the Facebook, Twitter, Youtube as usual, but we would make our messages actually seem important as I recognize that people do not want to read crap. Tweets would be free chips for an hour or so, YouTube videos would show how sexy my slots are, and why you should play them. Strategy sessions would also be aired and posted on our video channel. Slim's Casino would also have some wicked cool TV commercials and a good solid print campaign. Basically we would mix the traditional with the new age marketing that is going on, only we would be consistent with it (because there is nothing more annoying than taking the time to sign up for someone's social network page only to see they never update it...I am talking to you, 80% of all companies I am interested in.).

Spam would also not happen. Ever. Seriously.

Other Features- Other features I would throw in: Mobile phone gaming, a community for the site where people can ask questions and have them answered (stole this from 3Dice), Deposit cards that can be purchased at stores, and any other cool features I can think of. After all, I have tons of money so I can sit on my throne and think of good ideas all day long!

These are some of the features I thought of when I was standing vigilant at work. Sure, many of my ideas are stolen from other casinos, but many of them don't have all these features combined. If they did it sure would be cool. What would you want to see?

😂 at Keira Knightley vs Rosie O'Donnell!

Sounds like the best place to play. Let me know when you open! 😉

Original games are a must for an ultimate casino. After all, so many casinos now share the same games that there is very little to differentiate them apart from the service offered.

Never mind scoring and stats in real time on the sportsbook. I want to be able to watch the game I am betting on live through the website! A few sites already do this (Bet365 comes to mind).

Did you know Casino Listings has a facebook page ... er ... guilty as charged your honour. 😳

btw what are you working on in the clean room - when you actually have something to do?

I think I am actually a fan of the Casino Listings Facebook page, and I was thinking of this site as I wrote that sentence (didn't want to offend a certain someone 😉 ).

When I work in the clean room we are actually processing polycrystalline silicon. It is the stuff they make solar panels and microchips out of. We have to keep it very pure and we package it and ship it out to customers in places like Japan. Pretty crazy to see how that stuff is produced!

No offense taken, it is neglected no doubt. But you did prompt me to post a couple of recent exclusive bonus deals on there to try to breathe some life back into it.
