Indiana and Ky News

3 replies • Last post

Indiana's Horseshoe Casino ,in Elizabeth/New Albany,is changing the name back to Caesar's.In 2020,there will be an 85 million dollar renovation.Since Indiana now allows sports betting, this will be added. This is only 15 miles from Louisville, and is now land based. It is 20 years old,and started out as a Riverboat Casino.Louisville is right on the Ohio rRver, but does not have, due to state laws, any casinos.Too bad we could not share in the 5.2 billion that Indiana has received. The only thing Ky has in the way of gambling is the new 65 million dollar Derby City Gaming ,run by Churchill Downs, with instant racing machines, similar to slots.Ky laws need to be changed and soon to keep up with Indiana.

Oh yeah, Ed. It's crazy because you literally have this place right across the river, and then it's not very far to Cincinnati in Ohio, either. The opportunity to pull big business is there.
