Update on Ky Casinos

6 replies • Last post

Well, we still don't have our casinos here but the race track betting is still going strong. With our new conservative Christian governor, I doubt if Ky. ever has one. Even the lobbyists can't make him or the legislature budge. All he is worried about is the new tourist attraction, The Ark.[Only in Ky!] No one realizes that more dollars would come into the state with our own casino. Sigh.

Oh man I had never heard of The Ark attraction but now I've googled it and I am gobsmacked. That is hilarious!

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.

I believe Bill Nye the Science Guy debated the creator of the Ark place on the topic of evolution. That's about all I know about that place though.

Having driven through Kentucky multiple times, I have always thought it's weird how theres all these casinos near the state border of outlying states (Indiana and Ohio), but that there's nothing in the Blue Grass State. Why not just legalize them and get some of that money for yourselves?

Great comment. Wish the people could vote on it. Bye bye state dollars.

As of today, ground has been broken on Derby City Gaming by Churchhill Downs. It will have slots and betting on horse races that have already run,so it is not considered gambling in Ky.Tell that to the tracks and bingo halls.Oh,well,at least we will not have to "Go to the boat" in Indiana to lose our money now.I am glad Ky is finally getting it.
