My son is in VEGAS!

5 replies • Last post

Hi CL Friends!

Please send my middle son some positive vibes, ask Lady Luck to shine on him, and send him some GOOD (and beginner's) LUCK!

I am so happy for him, because he is 28 years old, and he just took his first flight last night since he was a little over two years old (and doesn't remember that, of course).

His work sent him out, because he is a manager, and they are putting them up in a really nice hotel (Aria), gave them tickets to see Penn and Teller, and allowing some free time to see the sights in between all the work conferences/workshops. His work goes all out when it comes to these types of "rewards." (holiday dinners, bonuses, etc).

I am so happy for him, simply because he gets to escape this cold weather for a few days, and he will be treated to great food and fun. He is not much of a gambler at all, so I am wishing him beginner's luck. He was so excited before he left, but he got little sleep. The flight left Minneapolis, MN at 10pm, so when he arrived it was 1am to him, but only 11pm in Vegas. lol

He said a woman was kicked off the plane for being too intoxicated before starting her THREE WEEK vacation! I told him she should have at least waited until she arrived in Vegas. So pitiful, lol.

Here is where he is staying. They have three pools and curtains and lights in the room where you can program when they open and close and when the lights turn off and on. Pretty cool. Looks like a nice place.

He stayed at the Excalibur last night, then tonight he will be at the Aria for the remainder of the time. The reviews look great. Many people said the BEDS were so comfortable it was worth staying just for that, lol.

I told him to behave himself, but I also reminded him, "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." Wink Smile

Lucky guy, that sounds awesome, especially when his work is paying for everything.

I'm not sure that is something a young guy wants to hear from his mother though! Blush

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing.

Lol! Well that can pertain to just so many different things now, can't it? I also don't want him to embarrass himself in front of coworkers. Tonight is the free food and drinks and party, starting at 9pm, which is 11pm my time, RIGHT NOW. lol Plus he has heard me say way worse. haha! Wink Tongue

Yeah, what we lack in online casinos we more than make up for in land based spots. I have two within 30-40 minutes from my house, with another 5-6 within a two hour drive. Still, I'd rather have the cool casinos to play online. Erm

belaff, you can win a huge jackpot online, then use that money for a trip to Vegas! Smile I hope you are able to see it someday.

I visited Vegas back before I really gambled much. We did a lot of outdoor activities, and the "touristy" things, and I only gambled a little. I know it has changed a lot since I have visited, as it has been many years. I would love to go back someday.
