Anyone been to the LAND CASINO lately? Any planned trips?

What is your favorite land casino?

I still don't like MN land casinos, because I heard they pay people off to NOT be inspected. Is this correct, CL-Ed? I hear they DO inspect in our neighboring Wisconsin. I just don't now how they can get away with this.

There are some really large casinos around me. One was totally against alcohol for many years, and now they just put in a bar. Go figure. There are like six or seven restaurants inside it. They give NO freebies or promos (except a small amount of slot play) whereas the other large casino is always giving away things: free hotel stays, Christmas wreaths, pies, purses, you name it. Right now they are giving away Gund Teddy Bears. But I don't really live close enough to take advantage of the freebies, plus the one time I did go get my "free" Christmas wreath it ended up being the most expensive Christmas Wreath I ever owned in my life, lol!

They also have senior day every week and sometimes my brother will drive up there on that day. They give away Dove ice cream bars and tons of other good "stuff."

But I find it strange that the other, equally large, but owned by someone else doesn't do this.

The one that does has two casinos, both "Grand" casinos: One is Grand Casino Hinkley and one is Grand Casino Mille Lacs. Both are really big.

All I hear is people complaining about how tight the slots have become and/or how horrible the bonus rounds are: I mean literally hundreds of free spins and coming out with a couple bucks. Yet they keep on going, lol.

Have you been lately or have any land casino visits planned for the holiday season? I guess they were incredibly busy on Thanksgiving Day. Someone I know decided to visit. I really only like to go if I can stay overnight and take my time gambling, taking breaks when needed in the room, hot tub, pool, etc.

I don't know. I guess anything is possible when it comes to a bit of money...

I can't believe that you had a casino there that didn't serve alcohol. That is bizarre. I thought that they usually love to give people a few drinks because that encourages them to play more and risk more.

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing.

Yeah, they were very much against alcohol for many years. While the other casino (Hinkley Grand) was building their second bar, lol. Strange, too, that one of the Grand Casinos (Mille Lacs) also does NOT serve alcohol, but their other one, Hinkely, does.

Actually, i have a lot of casinos near me here, in Belarus. But never visit them, as believe online RTP are higher, than land casinos RTP.

We planned to go over the holidays, but never made it. Maybe once the weather gets better and the roads are clear.

I believe the same, but I still like to visit the land casinos now and then. I go maybe four times per year, on average. In the winter, it is nice to be able to play on the couch in a WARM house, sometimes even in my pajamas, lol!

My friend and her husband went before New Year's, and she won 900 dollars playing 40 cents per spin on the Buffalos game! I rarely win on that game, but she is a true example of you do not have to bet big to win big! I was so happy for her! Smile

in my country governemnt allows slots to run at 90% RTP. Online rtp much more higher, this is the reason i still did not give them a try.

Thanks for explaining that., belaff. I can now see why you would stay away and stick to the online casinos.

AND I like saving money on the gasoline. It is getting so a trip to the land casino takes at least a half of tank of gas. So I figure when I deposit 25 bucks at Win a Day or whatever, that is what I would spend on gas just to get to the land casino! PLUS 25 dollars would NOT last long at the land casino. lol That is why MY trips are few and far between. Smile

That's a good point, Hope. Stay at home and spend the gas money on the casinos!
