Good Run

I was fortunate enough to have a good run at my local casino this last weekend, and I didn't even really try to!

My wife made me go out to the Soaring Eagle with her and her friends (LAME), and I was just going to sit at the bar and drink the cheap drinks.

After about a half hour I was feeling bored and decided to hit the blackjack table and lay down some money to keep myself entertained for a while longer.

I played single deck, basic strategy at $10 per hand. I started with $50 and worked my way up to $150. It was then that I decided to go for one last hand and put down $50. I drew split Aces. Dealer showed a 4.

Taking the risk that we all know I had to, I split the hand and ended up with two 21's! It paid out nice (but not blackjack nice), and I went back to the bar.

Shortly after, my wife and her friends came back broke, but were telling me that at least they went out on the floor and had a good time playing slots. I just smiled and haven't told them about my nice run at the table. 🙂
