Where are you from? I live in Germany, but the german player places are not as good as this side here. Do you think the same way?

I am an American with German descendants, does that count? lol My mom is half German and French, and her mother was from Germany. Our ancestors settled in Southern Minnesota, USA and became farmers (many of them).

I had to Google translate what you said up there, as I do not speak German, lol.

Welcome!

My ancestors are all German on both sides and I don't speak the language.Heard plenty of cursing from my grandparents and my dad while I was growing up.I miss my dad singing Stilege Nacht,Heilege Nacht at Christmas time.I know I murdered the spelling of that song, but welcome to you anyway. My dad taught me a German poem when I was 6 and I went to school and recited it.I didn't know it was The Cat S--- In the Snow, and the nuns let me have it across the knuckles,as they did frequently back then.Welcome to a very informative site.

Roulette systems are scams. Ed has put through a lot of effort to show how these systems don't work.

I lifted a quote from Ed in another thread talking about systems. Here is what he had to say:

"Systems on the other hand are basically worthless. For the uninitiated a betting system is often marketed as a "can't lose" proposition where if you follow the system's betting rules or patterns you will always win. A very simple one is the Martingale where you double your bet each time you lose a spin in roulette. In theory its a sure fire winner. Unfortunately the reality is quite different because casinos have table limits and you don't have an unlimited bankroll, which means you can and will lose if you follow the system. You may have a lot of small wins but eventually the maths will get you and you will have a catastrophic loss. Systems can have their uses in terms of money management in that they may restrict you from betting too much when you shouldn't, but apart from that I see little point to using a system.

So I guess all you need to know is that a system won't affect the house edge of the games you are playing, while a correct strategy will."

Oo
Thank you for this good and long answer! I was thinking, that this systems dont work. If they would let you win all the time, why should someone sell it and dont just use it for himself to get rich?

But I think there must be some rule to win more than loos, dont you think? Any tipps?

I am not huge into Roulette, and I would ask CL-ED about these systems. Have you used them already?

Don't worry about your English: please don't let it stop you from joining in. We welcome you to CL! Smile

Oh you naughty girl! Ouch @ the nuns cracking you across the knuckles. My mom went to a strict German Lutheran school, and those teachers did the same thing! Sad Can you imagine them trying to get away with that kind of "discipline" these days? I don't know
