Thanksgiving is done, December is finally here, so we can officially start talking about Christmas. And of course, we can expect the usual avalanche of advent calendar style promotions from casinos.

CL - klaw StaffDays 14 and 15: there was a bit of a theme going on for this weekend. Battle droids in the Lego Star Wars advent calendar. I think we're all familiar with the battle droid on the bottom left, but for those (like Ed and vomvom12) who aren't fans of the prequel trilogy, this is (apparently) a corporate alliance tank droid.
And a shooting star and moon from Cadbury. The Cadbury advent calendar has been full of instructions on how to get ready for Christmas, ranging from the useful to the ludicrous. The latest one was to invent a Christmas themed game to play - who on earth has time to do this in the lead up to Christmas? More useful instructions have been, put up your decorations and Christmas tree, send out Christmas cards (damn it, haven't done that yet!) and make/decorate your gingerbread house.
This is one Christmas tradition that we don't do at our place. Other than advent calendars and gingerbread houses, what are your family Christmas/festive traditions??
