Video Slots vs 3 Reel Slots

5 replies • Last post

Hi Members,

I think it is pretty unanimous that Video Slots win hands down as our favorite slots. We have bigger and better bonus rounds, more lines to win on not to mention stacked wilds and multipliers.

The Classic Slots tend to have less thrill factor. But these 3 reel old fashion slots can be a fooler. Wanting to play something different and needing a change of pace i decided to try the 3 reel slots. Now (and i thought i would never say this) i actually find myself lately playing them more!

Even though there is not as many lines or bonuses they have higher payouts on your wins. I have been hooked on playing the 3 reel slots at Rival and have had some pretty good luck!

Has anyone tried them for a change of pace and had luck?

I tried them when I felt the need to slow down a little bit with heavy graphics and try something different and simpler. Sadly, I have to say that I saw my balance going down much faster than with video slots, so I stopped playing them entirely... Sad

I like the 3 reelers once in a while. It's a given that they lack the fun factor and my attention span is short as it is Sleep but when I hit a significant win I'm suddenly focused again. Money

To be honest I find the 3 reelers pretty boring. On the other hand they mostly seem to be lower variance so I've always found I can play longer on them. Useful if you're grinding out bonus wagering, but not much fun for me otherwise. Each to their own I suppose.

If I do ever play slots(and that's a big If...) I prefer the old school 3 reel slot machines. Can not even begin to understand these new age pay on 20,50 100 line slot machines...They seems ridiculous to me....

Its like playing 20 spins at once. In theory you've got just as much chance of winning by playing a single payline and doing 20x the spins as just playing 20 paylines. But it would be ... "not very nice" ... if you were playing one line and saw a multi-million dollar jackpot come up on line 3 or something.
