One Gambler's Thrill is Another Gambler's Yawn

12 replies • Last post

Hiya CL Members,

When it comes to gambling i am pretty versatile in game variety. I love slots, roulette, poker, video poker, horse racing, bingo and blackjack. But there are some gaming that i would just as soon watch paint dry.

My least favorite game is Keno. I have tried it at brick and mortar casinos and online and i find it soooooooo boring!! I have seen gamblers play it with a diligent passion and i never understood the thrill. I also find scratch cards very boringgggg.

I suppose what is one man's thrill is another man's pain. If those were the only sources of gambling i suppose i wouldn't be a gambler.

What is your least favorite game to play?

I used to hate playing slots until I started playing them online. Now I hate playing bingo both live and online.

Me too, I hated slots and thought they are utterly stupid, until I started playing them online. Now they're among my top favorite games. As for the least favorite, well, I could say bingo and keno, although I sometimes enjoy playing those as well. As a matter of fact, I sometimes find card games more boring than those two, so I guess it's all about my mood at the moment... Smile

Until I came here, I found online slots boring, lol. Plus, I never felt like I could trust any certain place, so I played a lot of poker online (back when I had time). Love the brick and mortar slots, yes I do, but nice to sit on the couch out of the cold. The casino is most fun when I can stay a night or two.

LOVE video poker, but not as much online for whatever reason. Used to be all I played.

I never understood that attraction to Keno, either My friend's husband loves it and has won some pretty big jackpots playing keno, but I just don't get it. Doesn't hold my attention, I guess.

I have played Bingo at the casino just to pass some time when there for a few nights, so I wasn't spending that hour or two putting money in the slots.

I am overdue for a trip to the brick and mortar and they just sent me two night, but in the middle of the week, of course. Just will stay home and save the GAS, because wow! has that gone up or what?

Great topic, Usne. Smile

Careful people, Cocacolakid is the keno master Wink

Keno is certainly boring, especially online. At least offline you can buy a couple of tickets and then have drink and talk to your friends and see later if you won.

But online bingo takes the cake for me. At least in real bingo you have a card or two, and you have to keep up with marking the numbers and be quick. So there's a bit of skill and urgency and concentration in there. But online its all automatic. You don't even have to hit a bingo button! Where's the gameplay, where's the fun? Online bingo is basically a bingo flavoured chat room. But people absolutely love it. I don't get it!

Bingo isn't so bad. There are some bingo sites that allow you to "dab" your own numbers and there's also a BINGO button.

For me, Keno was definitely one of my least favs. I've played Jackpot Keno on some of the bingo sites and that is more bearable, even likable. You have a booster number that serves as a multiplier.

You can say the same thing for slots that are played on auto. At least with bingo you can socialize and play games in chat for $$. Also play mini slots within the rooms. There is actually more going on in a bingo room then there is spinning any reel on a slot.

True, its a bit of an art in designing a slot that remains interesting. Imagine if there were no reels and instead they just flashed a random number up on the screen each spin and told you if you won. Wouldn't be much fun, but its effectively the same thing.

I quite like the way you can chat on all the bingo sites. Its just the game itself ... weird. Anyway I just found out this week that: My mother is a bingo freak
