Playing Devils Advocate For Rogue Casinos

12 replies • Last post

Hiya CL Members,

Now don't stone me and burn me at the stake for what i am about to say. Buttttttttttttttt do you think that some rogue casinos get a bad rap due to players who abuse their site? It seems a lot of casinos considered rogue are those who offer generous chips. We all know the bonus whore who will look for every trick in the book to take advantage and abuse these casinos.

I know there are many players who still play at some of these rogue casinos and are happy with them. How is it decided who gets promptly paid and is treated with great service yet others have nothing but issues. Do you think that we as players have made them rogue due to abuse?

Of course don't get me wrong there are DEFINITELY situations of being unfairly treated. I for myself would never run the risk of playing at a rogue casino. The thing that goes through my mind is how do they stay afloat. So many casinos are hurting yet the rogues keep right on plugging along.

Would love to hear some feed back.......

😠 Prepare the stake! 🤠 💣

While you are right that there are "rogue players" just like there are rogue casinos, no casino in this day and age can offer a bonus then complain that they are being "abused" because they knew the possibility of that happening before they offered the deal. If they leave themselves open to such "abuse" then they only have themselves to blame.

The simple explanation is that the rogue casinos stay afloat because they don't pay all the winners, or they delay and stall until some the winners give up hope or play back their winnings. Of course they offer the generous chips - they use them to suck people in with a deal that seems to be too good to be true. And they can afford to offer those chips as they aren't going to pay most of the winners, while an honest casino can't afford to match such deals.

I am sad to say that with a lot of players not bothering to research the casinos that they play at before depositing, it is a crude but effective business strategy!

I have no sympathy whatsoever for any casino that accepts a player's money then refuses to pay when they win after following all the rules, regulations and fine print. It is outright theft. I would even go so far as to say that a player that knowingly plays at a rogue casino, even if they have been treated ok in the past, is contributing to the problem.

There are lots of good quality casino run by honest people. You are already putting your money at risk by gambling - why make it worse by playing somewhere where you can't be sure that they will pay when you win? I just don't understand why some players do that.

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.

I don't get it either Ed. I mean sometimes i have to just shake my head. They can be warned and encouraged not to play at less then desirable casinos, yet they continue to do so. Then when they either don't get paid or have to wait for weeks or even months to get paid they complain........i want to scream........WAKE UP PEOPLE!

Granted some new players are not well educated on all the rogue casinos, but many are and they are the ones i am referring to.

We've been tossing around a few ideas here trying to think of some way or thing we could do to help players who cannot be bothered researching an online casino before playing there. Something that warns them before they play or deposit their money... watch this space

Read, UNDERSTAND and abide by the terms and conditions, withdrawal policies and rules & restrictions before making a deposit or claiming a bonus...I had to learn the hardway for losing out on what could have been a a very nice cashout.. Ever since then, I have always put this into practice and never had an issue cashing out even at sites that have been blacklisted such as Prism and VIP Lounge.

That is the answer i was waiting for! I think there is a lot of truth in what you said cocakola. Sometimes i think the players themselves are the ones who destroy a reputation of a casino. Not always and there is definitely rogues out there. But because they are such sticklers on rules i steer away from them.

But i do believe on some of them it's a matter of following the rule to the letter. I have heard a minority of players say they have never had a problem with some of these rogues because they do abide by the rules.

Which leads me to a new question. Are casinos that are sticklers with rules be labeled as rogue because players don't follow them? I understand there are rogues for many other reasons and they are down right crooks. But if you abuse free chips for example when the terms clearly state only one free chip in between deposits some players become outraged because the casino didn't pay them.

i would really like to know the percentage of players who complain about not getting paid actually abused a chip or didn't follow the terms.

Oh i love to play devils advocate..... 😉

Hello all, I'm new to this site and well, as far as rogues, I had no idea that my favorites were on that list. yes they say 7-10 days for approval, then 7-10 day for payment, but this is the first time in years I have had a problem being paid. but let me tell you, they have no problem with my deposits. I've been waiting since 12/28 for less than $1000, and I expect to be paid. they alwasy make sure I had made the playthru before I asked for withdrawal, and the few people in chat I've talked to have always seemed nice.

we'll see, won't we

I wouldn't be surprise if it were the majority of them.

It was the dreaded Prism... I've been playing there for at least 5 years, and this is the first time a cashout has taken more than 2 weeks. does anyone remember a slot from Australia back in the mid 90's?

Hi Thomas I moved your post to its own new thread - it should get a bit more attention that way.
