Warning: Cleopatra's Palace Casino

2 replies • Last post

I received an enquiry from a Robert D. asking what I knew about Cleopatra's Palace Casino. Unfortunately Robert's email address must have been wrong and my reply bounced so I am posting it here in the hope that he will read it!

[Website Feedback] cleopatra's palace casino

Can you tell me what you know about this casino...

Hi there Robert. To be honest I have not come across this casino before - which is in itself a bad sign because they must be very small-time.

However I did a bit of googling and it looks like it has a very bad reputation.

A tip for checking if a casino which we don't have information on here at Casino Listings is a bad one - do a google search like so, using whatever casino name you are looking at:

"Cleopatra's palace rogue casino"
"Cleopatra's palace casino rogue"
"Cleopatra's palace casino blacklisted"

The key terms are "rogue" and "blacklist". You could also try "scam".

Anyway from what I can see they make a number of false claims on their site:

Since we launched our online casino over we've been nominated for numerous awards, from best new online casino, to best casino service and editor's pick with various online casino publications."

That is complete and utter rubbish.

And these terms among others in their T&Cs are terrible:

6. All promotional offers and bonuses can only be redeemed by players when they have no existing account balances and no pending withdrawals unless otherwise stated. Any player who makes a cash deposit or claims a free comp of any type when the player has an existing balance over $10 will have their account locked and suspended. Management reserves the right to lock accounts that are suspected of manipulation or wagering fraud. Any player who utilizes a deposit Bonus with a deposit will be subject to a maximum withdrawal amount of no more than $5,000"

14. Any winnings generated on other non-tournament games that were directly funded from a tournament win will be restricted to a maximum of $1,000 cash out.

20. All blackjack games have maximum single cash out value of $2,500.

Limits, limits, limits, seizure clauses, penalties etc. That sort of thing screams that they do not have much money to back up the casino.

I would stay away if you have not already started playing there!
I will be adding them to our blacklist page today - that is how bad an impression they have made on me.

If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Both Cleopatra's Palace and a sister-site Royal Sands Casino have been added to our casino blacklist.

Thanks ed for the heads up. I think educating the gambler in what to look for is vital. There are so many players who go to a site and blindly make a deposit without doing their homework or checking the terms.

Great advice!
