My land casino story

2 replies • Last post

Hiya Members,

I have to share this experience i had with members and hope to get some feedback. I have a favorite casino that i would frequent in Chicago. I had a VIP card and had all the nice perks to go with it. Main reason i went is because my mom loved this casino and would have me go with her. She was lady luck thats for sure, she was always generous to share her winnings with me!

I had a bad experience once at the cashier's cage. The employee was very short tempered and down right rude. Thats when my feisty Irish side kicked in and i asked to speak to the cage manager. I told the mgr that the cashier was very rude. I also explained that i'm not complaining for a free comp but just thought you should be aware. I was offered a free dinner coupon for which i politely turned it down. I went on to say that maybe they should ck my VIP points as well as my mom's and understand what loyal players we are.

I told the mgr it will be a long time before i come back.....and it was. Nearly two months had passed before my mom or i went back. That day they had a drawing where they picked 5 winners names out of a barrel. Lo and behold i was one of those winners. I won a nice prize of $3,000! I was whistling Dixie for sure!

About two weeks i found out that this casino got in some hot water for cheating! Seems they were cheating players on a Spin the Wheel Contest and the wheel was tampered with.

I am very glad that they got busted after i won! Now i am know big potatoes there or a high roller by any means, just a loyal member. I know the names are drawn out of a barrel for the contest i won on, but have often wondered if it was fixed too. Especially after my episode at the cashier cage.

What do you think......could they have swayed the contest in my favor too?

How did the names go in the barrel? And do you see them do the draw? If they were on a piece of paper then they probably have no idea who was in the draw. If you scan your card to enter the competition and they draw it out of sight then maybe it was rigged, but most places have laws against that sort of thing (i.e. it has to be drawn in the sight of an official or something).

But I've learned a lesson here ... gotta complain more!

It was a piece of paper ed. Not sure if it was pulled out in the open or not. I do know that i crinkled up the paper real good so it sorta stood out from the rest.

And yes i guess it does pay to complain!
