Live Blackjack

9 replies • Last post

I just had my first experience with live blackjack via the internet. I played at Legends sportsbook and ended up winning $160. I really dig the fact that:

A) An attractive girl deals out your cards.

B) That you can play with others

And

C) That it slows the game down substantially, making it better than playing the faster dealt games (I lose my money quicker).

What do you blackjack players think? Which do you prefer?

I have never tried that, but it does sound much better. I like the idea of slower play. I hate when the land machines are set to a high speed, like with the video poker, etc., because I like to play slower, too. If I am going to lose my money at least let me do it slowly, lol!

Now if I can request A) a handsome man to deal out my cards, then I might show some interest. haha!

Where do we find something like this, Barbados?

For Americans it is kind of hard to get your hands on a decent site that uses live dealers. I went to where my sportsbook is, which is Legends.

They have a very good reputation and although their casino software sucks, the sports book is good and I am pretty sure they are using a different software provider for the live dealt games. I don't want to fully vouch until I get my withdrawal cleared back, but I did have a lot of fun playing there.

Thank you, barbadosslim93~ I wasn't sure about the U.S players thing. I long for a day where there are no more restrictions. Can you imagine? Us U.S. players would be like kids in a candy store if we could ever play in ALL. lol!

Do they use the oversized cards? They always look funny. Its like you're playing a kids card game 🙂

I actually don't prefer the live game for exactly the reason you like it (well I don't mind the lovely ladies dealing but apart from that). I prefer the quicker speed and the ability to go at your own pace of the software game.

Yes, the cards were huge like something you would see given away to old folks when they call in for new orthopedic shoes.

I really need to be able to slow the speed of my game. Often times I get the cards so quickly that it hinders my decision making. A couple of quick losses can compound to me making a bad bet out of frustration. This slow pace just like a real casino does me well I think.

OK, one follow up note on this. I am now up $320 for the year so far on this online live blackjack, I love it.

However, my first dealer today came in complaining that she had the flu, and it may just be the roulette wheel, but I am pretty sure I hear a toilet flushing in the background at odd intervals.

Pretty cool stuff though! I am getting lucky and hitting all my double downs.

Wow! You doubled your money since your last report. You can't beat that! Do it again, Slim! 😉

The toilet thing is kind of funny and might get a bit annoying. Plus, if you have the flu you should really stay home. I am sure you were happy to be playing virtually, especially in this case. 🤷 🤢 🤢

Agree about over-sized cards. But what I can't get is that why would somebody ever want to lose faster ? I prefer playing slowly- more time to think, more time to play.

Its just that I like to play in short bursts, usually no more than half an hour. If I'm playing software blackjack I can squeeze in more hands quicker. Live games tend to be much slower, especially if you're at a table with 4 or 5 others.
