My First Tournament

3 replies • Last post

I played my first tournament tonight at Sloto'Cash. It was a free tournament. (Texas Tycoon) I think we got 20,000 tokens and 20 minutes to play. Twenty minutes is a long time!

I had already read about playing tournaments here. I had my finger on the spin button and was ready to go. What tripped me up was that I had never played this game before. When I got three oil wells I wasn't sure what to do. The three gushing oil wells trigger a free spin, but you have to click on which oil rig you want and that tells you how many spins you get. Before I knew it, I had pushed spin again so I lost out on those free spins. I got the oil wells 3 more times during the game. Once I got 15 spins, then I got another 3 oil wells while still in the first free spins. The tournament ended and I think I still had about $100.00 in credits. CL-Ed was right about not wasting any time at all when the clock starts. I believe I was 107th by the time I left.

When I finally do pay to enter a tournament, I think I will try the 10 minutes one. I will also play the game before the tournament to see what to expect.

I had no idea that so many tournaments are offered. They have one now for a $500 guitar!

Did you auto-play? That can help with getting lots of spins in, especially when you are under a time crunch.

Unfortunately, Slot O'Cash will not allow you to use autoplay during their tournaments, which is something I discovered and did not care for.

No, that wasn't available. I was looking for it because I had heard Hope mention it before. I did my second tournament today. I can understand now about re-buys. You don't want to run out of money when you are near the top. I'm slowly learning. The tournament I played today was free though.
