USA Casino? (and a general question)

6 replies • Last post

What happened to this casino? I was just reading an (older) article about a woman who won a huge jackpot there in 2004, I think it was. She was a player from Canada and she won $645,319.

I just found it funny that they call themselves USA casino, and then the next line said, "Do not accept players from the U.S. Strange that they would choose that title, lol. I also clicked on a link that is supposed to lead you to the casino and goes to "EuroGrand." Now, I guess I am just curious about this casino. Did they go under? Just change their name or what?

Off topic, I have been trying to find stories of online players who win big jackpots, but I am looking for more recent articles, etc. Do you know of a place where there are such lists and do individual casinos have lists like this? Like land casinos send the flyers and always list a few names of winners and what jackpots they won. So, besides the thread we have here to report winnings and read about others' good luck, does anyone know where I can find this information?

Slots Galore used to have names and jackpot wins (and what game they played) running across the screen, but I am wondering if anyone publishes any type of list? I just thought it would be fun to see where people are winning and what machines they are winning on: just for fun and out of curiosity.

Thanks for your help! 🙂

Hope

From what I can recall USA Casino was part of the group known as CPays. They are the ones that own EuroGrand which it now redirects to, and were acquired by William Hill a while ago. These are the people that are causing William Hill all their difficulties at the moment, with dodgy transactions siphoning money out of the business, staff walkouts, refusing access to data etc. In short they are rogue casino operators.

They would have closed it and started redirecting to EuroGrand I guess when Playtech stopped accepting American players subsequent to the UIGEA law being passed in 2006.

As for jackpot winners, our jackpot tracker keeps an eye on when jackpots are won and for how much, but at the moment we don't track who wins them. Obviously we cannot know in the majority of cases unless the casino publicises it. Here is our page that lists recent significant wins:
Recent progressive jackpot wins

From time to time we have news articles about the winners of the really big ones. I used our advanced search to find relevant news articles. On our search page, if you click on "Advanced Search" and restrict the search to only of the type "Story", then enter "jackpot win" or similar you should find plenty.

Here is a search that does that for you directly:
http://www.casinolistings.com/search/node/type%3Astory%20jackpot%20OR%20win

Maybe we can look into referencing the news articles with our jackpot tracker somehow, so for the ones we know about you could click a link to read more about it.

Otherwise its a process of going to individual casino websites, as they all like to brag about being the one where someone won!

Ed, you are so smart! 😉

Thanks for your detailed response.

I was looking at the new Buzzluck Casino, and I see they list their winners, smaller and larger, on their main page. I like to see proof that someone is winning, and I like to see the games they won, listed, too.

Taking onboard your suggestion hope, we have started matching news articles to our jackpot wins tracker. So now when we publish an article about a jackpot win, we can link the win on the jackpot tracker page back to the article.

Using Mega Moolah as an example, on the tracker page you can see the list of recent and biggest wins down the right column on the page. Any amount there that is linked should go to an article about the win that you can read.

I always wonder if a player from the US won how would they explain all that cash hitting their accounts. But then again US friendly casinos have limits of payouts with most topping off at 5k tops. If ya won a huge progressive it would take years to get paid off. Unless on progressives there is an exception to payout limits.

But i got a feeling i won't ever have that problem!

Ha, yes it is an intriguing one. For example RTG has a couple of million dollar + jackpots. How do you get it if you are in the USA? Set up an offshore account? (probably not legal) Or maybe they have ways of disguising these things.

That is way cool, CL-ED. Thank you doing that. I look forward to living vicariously through all the big winners, lol! 🙂
