Favorite Type Of Gambling?

14 replies • Last post

We have a pretty good spread of different gamblers here at casino listings, and I was just thinking about what my favorite type of gambling is. Six months ago I would have said blackjack in an instant, but now I have gotten my tongue wet on sports betting and I REALLY like that, so I would say that the two are just about tied for me.

What do you like? Slots? Poker? Key me in and vote in my poll. Also, what is the weirdest thing you have bet on? Has anyone ever placed a wager on something odd that can post a good story?

I love Black Jack- easy rules, no luck involved, great game where you can blame your luck only on yourself 😜

Yeah, I agree with you that they are relaxing and play them also for the same reason. However, I like the ones that are not fully depended on so called fate 😂 I like when I have to think of what should be my next step and estimate things and etcetera and etcetera. I find it more catching

me too, I have always preferred skill games rather than slots, but these days I've been so tired in the evenings that slots appear to be quite a nice way to relax and get pleasure from gambling, and not have to think and plan your steps...

Me too, but the more I bet, the more anxious I end up. Do you have any strategy (I know we can not have one as slots are purely random, but still) according to which you bet? On how many reels/wheels slots do you bet at ? Sorry for being so curious, but I just wanna know, maybe the problem is in me, not in slots 😂

Personally I will only gamble on a game of skill. But yes sports betting is fun as there are some excellent sports journalists around who really know their onions these days . I have friends in the US who spread bet on college basketball very successfully but they do read volumes of newspapers every day, are real experts and have the guts to bet big under pressure 🙂 To make a good profit with a small pot as an amateur it would seem logical to me to do your research, bet well in advance to get decent prices and do multiple bets if you can. I say this because unless you are a genius at spotting and backing big priced winners on the actual day of play consistently, the odds in sports betting can be slimmer than Miss Universe. This means you are going to have to bet big to win decent $$$ which greatly increases the chance of your pot taking a big hit over just one single bet. Slots are a mystery to me apart from the fact they are in theory the only way of winning millions from $1 🙂 Have fun, stay cool and don't lose your shirt whatever you do 🙂

I used to be a Texas Hold'em fanatic, and I still enjoy it. My problem is I LOVE the slots, in land places and online, even though I know that I have lower chances of winning than with Black Jack or poker. I find sitting and staring mindlessly, and hoping, always hoping, strangely relaxing. lol I am not big on Black Jack, because I just NEVER win (even though I try to play "by the book"). Seems the dealer always has that magic card up his or her sleeve no matter how good my cards appear to be at first.

Oh! And I DO love video poker. However, it is just doesn't seem as fun online (vs land) for some reason, to me anyway. I chose slots, but poker is a close second for me.

I agree about video poker, it has become one of my favorite types of gambling after I've learned that the payouts are quite good and the odds are much better than in case of playing Slots 😂
