English Harbour group closes to all new players

12 replies • Last post

We just received word that the English Harbour group of casinos have closed to all new registrations. The casinos will continue to operate for existing customers though.

No reason has been given as to why. We can only speculate that it is related to the UIGEA laws in the United States, as the primary market for this group was U.S. players.

The full list of affected casinos are:

Caribbean Gold Casino
English Harbour Casino
Millionaire Casino
Silver Dollar Casino
Slots Galore
Super Slots Casino
VIP Slots Casino

ALL new registrations? Including those in countries that have legalized gambling? This now means that my primary casino is going to have some serious overhauls. I sure hope that I don't get squeezed out! This government crackdown is making me mad!

I am going to move somewhere where I can gamble online. This is ludicrous.

That is right, all new players. Its a strange move and we'll just have to wait and see what happens from here.

Golden Casino (same software, different owners) did the same thing last year and it is still operating for its players so it does not necessarily mean a shut down. Perhaps they fear someone "undercover" signing up and discovering their payment methods for U.S. players?

Its all speculation at the moment I am afraid.

Things aren't looking too good for us right now...This makes me nervous. I know someone is going to poke around and figure a way to lock us out of online gambling. I just hope I win my millions before that happens.

That is wild, i can't even fathom why it's for all countries. You don't have to be a registered player to see whats on their banking options are. It will tell anyone right on the homepage by clicking "cashier" before registering.

I hope it's not they know something we don't like maybe other countries are going to follow suit and crackdown.

IIRC you're not in the USA kabean so I don't think you should have any problems playing there for the time being. U.S. customers might have more difficulty moving money in and out as is the way these days.

Just make sure you withdraw if you have a win!

I hear Canada is nice. 😉
Actually there are quite a few casinos that don't accept Canadians either.

Eh, Canada isn't really an option right now...You fall asleep with your body in two parking spots after a nice 13 hour drinking session and suddenly you are the bad guy! 😉

I think my choices are Myanmar, Iran and the Ivory Coast. I think their governments aren't that corrupt and I am sure they would allow me to gamble online.

I received the same affiliate email few days ago...but strange..with a wrong name.
I have a player account with Silver Dollar I think and deposited few times..of course without any bonus..because Romania players can't claim any bonus here.
But I will try Grand Vegas casino..just sign up with this fantastic exclusive 25$ ND bonus 🙂

I'll be sick if Gocasino goes the same route. Im not sure where ill play if they have to leave the market. They are of course using the same software as the English Harbour group of casinos(Vegas technologies) This BS strong-arming from the USA DOJ really pisses me off.

Sad news. I remember the good old days of whoring their tournaments for small wins with an account at every one of their casinos... 'twas easy money
