Hiya Members,

Wouldn't it be a awesome job to make a living off of doing what you love best....gambling! I wonder if it is possible. I think that casinos would probably be the most difficult to make a living off of particularly the slots which is my favorite.

Out of casinos, poker and sportsbook which one do you feel would give the best to try it out? What type up guideline would we have to set up for ourselves to succeed.

Or do you feel its impossible to make a living off gambling?

How do the poker pros make a living off of gambling? I remember an interview once with Howard Lederer saying he was a very controlled gambler and new his limits and was very successful at making a living off it.

But that's just it "controlled" which for a gambler who loves the action it can be difficult to have that type of control for many players.

We have all slipped some money in a machine and said only one deposit with a set amount and have gone back several times to make just "one more" transaction. Sometimes it works in our favor and we win big and that is what we remember. But more often then not we end up on the short end of the stick!

I would love to become a professional gambler but i don't think it's a realistic living. The best way to fatten up our bankrolls is to do it the old fashion way and earn it..........sigh i know reality is no fun at all!

Poker is a game of skill and that's why we mostly see poker pros earning for living from gambling. I agree that it's no fun at all to depend on gambling revenues, as there always is someone smarter than you...
