Hi Everyone,

Sorry I have not been around, but I have really been meaning to stop in. I ended up traveling to Florida the last week of March to visit my 82 year old mom. Ever since my return, work has been completely CRAZY, so I haven't had time to "play" online as much as I would like.

So, HI everyone! I have missed you all! 🙂

I also have a quick question (yes, wordy Hope has a "quick" question, lol).

I received a postcard in the mail that says to claim a $55.00 chip at a place called --- EDITED ---
Download free software, register free account, then claim my no deposit chip. My questions are: has anyone ever heard of a place like this. If so, do you think they would really pay out? OR should I just throw the postcard in the trash and stick with the places I know are legit?

See that big fat GVC logo up the top? The site appears to be an affiliate of Gold VIP Club casino which is one of the most rogue, thieving, criminal casinos online. We just had a player complaining the other day about how they reversed all her deposits rather than pay for a win, and there are complaints galore about this place all over the net. The worst I read was that they threatened to maliciously report a player to anti-child porn authorities if they kept insisting on being paid their winnings.

I am glad you checked here first Hope!

I have edited the name of the site out of there, because I really don't want anyone to make the mistake of playing there. Given their past record I would not be confident that my personal information was safe if I did.

Once again it appears that some casino has been selling lists of registered players and Gold VIP Club would be one of the first in line to buy.

Ed, thanks for your prompt reply, too. I was very leary about this. I do not like that it came in snail mail, but so be it. 'Twill be filed straight into the trash can. I do NOT need a 55 dollar chip THAT bad. I am never one to take much risk and I prefer to always stay with those who are proven and safe and secure...as possible.

See, how I love this place? I missed it here, too! I will try to check in as often as I can, in spite of the five busiest weeks of my life coming up. lol

Aww you are too kind Hope.

You know what its a better feeling helping someone to avoid a clip joint than it is giving advice about which are the good ones. If only everyone checked these places out first. Its always nice to hear a thanks for saving me some trouble rather than the "I wish I had checked first" posts!
