So you're sitting at home gambling.....

27 replies • Last post

If you were to spy on me gambling at home you'd see me with my laptop on a pillow in my lap, a glass of Diet Pepsi (beer or wine on the weekends) while watching TV. It's amazing how I can keep up with exactly what's on the TV while I'm spinning away. I just realized it, I am one talented chick! Two kitties running all over or sitting on the keyboard is also typical. If I'm really involved, I hate to stop to use the bathroom. It's a mad dash to get back to my entertainment. Not so interesting, I know!

So, what do you do while gambling online? What are your surroundings? Do you have routines?

You just described my routine to the "T"! My laptop is either on my lap or on my legs (to make room for my favorite cat, "Miss Scarlet") so that I can spin, pet my cat, watch TV and drink my tea! As I type this, Miss Scarlet is attempting to jump on my lap right now. I am an amazing multitasker!

When I was younger, I was always going places, meeting new people, trying new things and experiencing all I could with what resources I had. However, now that I am a little order, I have come to enjoy the simpler things in life. I actually LOVE staying home now.

I absolutely love this time of year! It is a great excuse to stay inside since it is so cold–and the snow just keeps falling! When I get home from a long day, I feed my cats, start the fire and the kettle, start up my notebook and the TV, put on some P.J.'s and sit down in my recliner, kick my feet up and enjoy my 73" TV, Bose sound system and exciting casino games.

How can you ask for anything more!?

Same here. In the winter, I have developed the fine art of being "lazy," and I have definitely bonded with my couch.

When my mini dachsie, Otis, decides he is in a cuddly mood....all the better.

Sounds cosy ...

Hang on did you say 73" TV??!?! That is a mammoth. If you opened the window I could probably see it from here (Sydney where it never ever snows)!

I'm seeing a common thread here though. Its amazing what you can do in the comfort of your own couch these days with a laptop / ipad / phone / whatever. We've truly got the world at our fingertips. 20 years ago this sort of thing was science fiction.

Most of the time my gambling is done in my home office ... of course a lot of it is done in the name of work for this site! I do enjoy a bit of poker on the laptop on the couch from time to time too.

My laptop battery is shot so i have to keep it plugged in all the time. So when i move from room to room i have to drag the cord with me. Sometimes i feel like a patient hooked up to a machine with my cord dangling everywhere i go.

I think what they need to invent is a strap that can go around your neck so that when you get up to move, the laptop is buckled to it and hands are free to bring your drink, ciggys, cell etc.

Oh that is wild!! Hahahahahah i think i would feel like a cigarette girl in Vegas and start handing out ciggys!

Think of the possiblities...hands free i can load the dish washer, do a load of clothes and take the garbage out while at the same time be online!

So, I'm sitting at home gambling and this man just walks in my house! He's looking for someone else but it scared the heck out of me.

Do you live in a tent? Wink

Just kidding.. my dad used to always say that to us if we forgot to close a door - "were you born in a tent?"

As a kid it was "Were you born in a barn? Close the door!".

Definitely locking the doors from now on. Scared

Well Usne, I left the back door unlocked and a man just walked in. He starts calling someone's name. I go to check it out and he's standing in my kitchen. He sees me and steps back and out the door because I am obviously not the one he is looking for.

I told him that this person doesn't live here. He's asking for her forwarding address and I'm like "Uh sorry I really don't know".

OMG! He left and I locked the door!!!

The worst part is he broke my concentration on my slot game!

Lol, Savannah!

I usually wager at night...I have a home made Red Bull type energy drink and jack into my iPod where I listen to something that gets me concentrated on my newest vice. In my limited experiences it has been Gorillaz, Incubus or Muse that has put me in the wagerin' mood.

Good times.

I don't mind a bit of Gorillaz myself but that Plastic Beach album was fairly ordinary compared to Demon Days.

Demon Days=epic. I actually was just listening to some Weezer on the slot session I just had too, lol. It is so much more fun to do this all online rather than get out in the snowy weather and head 45 minutes to the Soaring Eagle Casino near where I live!

I found that certain luxuries while gambling at home only get me in more trouble. If i combine music and a cocktail while spinning, i tend to be more how shall i say....care free with my bank account.

Mix another cosmopolitan, put on another CD and make another deposit!! Oh it is great fun but it's more toxic with a mentality of "ya only live once"!

I'm usually too focused on the game to do anything else... I'm not even able to respond when my bf asks me something. But I'm like that when I have loads of fun - I give the play my undivided attention! lol

Watch out Cat, us guys know this and that's when we ask for stuff we know you won't allow. While you're mindlessly concentrating on something you'll often just say yes to anything we ask...

hey are you playing slots again? yes
are you winning? yes
can i go out on a 3 day non stop bender with my friends? yes, stop bothering me!

Yeah then we turn around two hours later and wonder where you've gone... hahaha
My BF has tried to ask for stuff that would require me to break my concentration and focus on him. Uh I don't think so! Stop

The weather has been so nice these days and my scene has changed. I'm now sitting outside in the garden gambling. At night my fiancé is grilling while I'm spinning. Wine
