Wow, today I received a $75 free chip from Silver Oak casino. But, after reading the forum and reading your reviews about Silver Oak I am definately not depositing any money with them.

I guess it's time for me to chime in here and share my experiences with Silver Oak. I was a regular player with Crystal Palace back in 2007/2008 and had won a $68K random jackpot. Shortly thereafter, I got notification that the casino was shutting down. In the same email, they recommeded I try their "new" casino, Silver Oak.
I had only cashed out and received a few thousand dollars from that huge jackpot, and I had played the majority of it back into the casino, so technically I didn't lose my winnings, but had I actually tried to withdraw them, there wouldn't have been enough time to do so, as they were taking almost a month per withdraw request to send out the checks. I did however attain a VIP level 4 status (whatever that means) for playing back in all of those winnings.
I then started playing at Silver Oak (coincidentally, all of my transactions from Crystal Palace showed up on my Silver Oak account history, and I also maintained my VIP 4 status). I played for quite some time with no real big wins, nor did I ever try to make a withdraw. That was, until January of last year. I hit another random jackpot on a slot machine for $25K. I decided to cash some of those winnings out and did so via UseMy Wallet. The casino's website says they pride themselves onfast payouts, what a joke!
Silver Oak approves $2500 max at a time (their site says per week, but my experience is less than $2500 per month). When I would use the Live Help, emal, or call their customer service, because I hadn't seen any money in over a month, it was like I was calling the mob! They were very rude and almost threatening, saying things like "You'll get your money, just relax." I ended up finally getting three $2500 payments, but it took more than three months to do so. I should have learned my lesson.
Now fast forward to December. I was fotunate enough to hit another random jackpot for $10K. As I was playing my winnings back into the casino, I noticed I wasn't accumulating my normal amount of comp points. I also noticed that my player status had changed from "VIP Level 4" to "Skilled Player." I emailed he VIP manager to see what was going on. He told me the VIP program was to assist players with extra money for betting and that it was determined I didn't need any assistance. I thought this was odd, as I play back nearly 95 percent of all of my winnings and have hardly ever taken a withraw. In fact, out of my $10K win, I only requested a $1k withdraw, which was approved on 8 December, but still haven't seen the money hit my account. Typical of Silver Oak customer service, I keep getting told, "you'll see the money next week," and one Live agent told me, "Skilled Player withdraws only get processed at the end of the month." Funny, that's not what their website says. All of my emails to the Silver Oak manager, payouts and help departments have gone unanswered.
Finally, prior to having the withdraw difficuties mentioned above, I found out I am no longer able to use a coupon code at SilverOak, or any of their affiliate casinos, unless it is a "max cash out" coupon. I guess I need to find a more reputable place to play. I'm not going to hold my breat that I'll ever see my $1k either.

Big Spender you need to find a new casino fast! That is thousands of winnings you will never see due to their policies. There is no doubt that all the delays are deliberately designed to get players to do what you have done - keep playing with the winnings until you lose them.

When you say "it was like I was calling the mob" you have no idea how close to the mark you are. Not technically the mob, but they are ultimately owned by a convicted fraudster.

As for a better casino - all these ones have the exact same RTG games as Silver Oak but are run a whole lot better: any in the Club World Group (see review for a full list), Slots Plus, iNetBet, and the Rushmore Group.

I do have a question.... What amount were you playing when you hit those random jackpots. I remember when I hit one back in 2008, that I played one $20 play, down to $10 play , down to $5 play and then down to my regular $1 bet play. I am very interested in knowing if I wasted my money going up to $20, thinking I would trigger the random jackpot or did you play a sensible amount and still trigger it?
One more question... do the random jackpots hit on Saturday evenings or did you see any regularities at all in times? Thanks, Beth

Beth,

Great question. I hit all of my random jackpots while only betting $1! I have raised my bets up to $25 while playing some winnings back, and have never hit anything worthwhile.

Good Luck!

Thanks for your quick response! I always wanted to know how much others were betting when winning these jackpots. Did you ever notice they were hitting on a particular day? Of course they say RANDOM, but I always wondered if they only hit on the weekends. Beth

Beth,

I hit my jackpots on different days of the week and at different times.

Well, I sure wish I was less of a "just do it" guy and more of a due diligence guy. Started playing at online casinos about 4 or 5 weeks ago. I've played through most of the US RTG and Rival SW based OCs. Tried to get into a few Microgaming's because they were incredible. (Tropez is better than many real casinos I've been to). I did get in.. but thats a different story. Silver pOak burned me for $1,370. I play table games mostly and I had been playing there because they were pretty lenient on the rules as far as tables being included in bonus's. Played for a few days and one day I opened my e-mail and they sent me a 25 buck chip. Didn't see any rules/restrictions. It was my birthday-Feb 8TH silly me thought they were actually just being cool. Au contraire
. So, I take the chip that explicitly says to use any time I want in the month of Feb with no restrictions and since I was a true newbie and didn't think 25 would last long anyway i jumped in pretty aggressively on some Euro BJ and was hitting some pretty big hands until it cooled off so I tried out 3 card rummy which I hadn't really played as of yet. Beginners luck hit hard as I took 250 and ran it up to 2200, but as any of you know that have played this game-you can lose faster than you can win. I got out at 1,370 and said well I'm not going out on top but almost 1400 is a nice b-day present to myself. Get up the next morning call them to see how quick the withdrawal process is going to be. They start acting real tough with me, saying I combined bonus's and that this 25 chip had a limit of 2x on it. then they said because I combined (which I didn't-I had less than a dollar in my account when I put the quarter chip in and most casinos that I do frequent don't give a rats ass if your account is under a dollar) that this was bonus abuse and I'd be lucky to get the 50 (2x max payout of 25 chip). Talked to "Joe" the manager on duty. He said he would look into it. Next time I called they wouldn't put me through to Joe and they told me that I could play there but that I was "skilled" so I couldn't do bonuses anymore. I told them to go f*%k themselves. The reason it sucked so bad is this is one of the few times I had enough discipline to get out when I was still up big. I usually do what I did tonight at Aladdin and get up (around 900 tonight) and then go to another game and end up blowin thru it. Anybody else on this thread dig table games and know about a good OC with integrity, fast payouts, and nice ongoing bonuses, let a brother know.

Freedom_Fries - We've all been there before...takes a few bad experiences before we find our preferred casino(s)...this is why its important to look at the reviews on a reputable site like this and even post a question on a particular casino, see if you get feedback from current/past players before deciding to play there or not ...I've had good experiences with Vegas tech brands....and if I had to choose one it would be grandvegas.com ...they allow for table games in the welcome bonus...sounds like that's something you prefer.
Hope this helps.
