Dictator slightly ticked off to say the least with World Cup results!

Hiya Members,

This is what i call a diehard fan! North Korea's dictator Kim Jong-Il is more than slightly upset at his country's loss at the World Cup, that he took matters into his own hands. He has sentenced the players and the coach to hard labor.

Kim Jong-ll and 400 government officials, yes 400 government officials called a meeting with the team. They were verbally abused for 6 hours by the government.

Kim Jong-Hun was ordered to perform hard labor and stripped him of his membership to Jong-Il's political party!

Seem's this is not the first time it has happened. Past North Korean athletes and coaches who did not perfom well have been reportedly shipped off to prison camps.

I have heard of taking a game seriously but c'mon this is slightly over the top. I wonder what the hard labor will be? I know what i would like it to be....maybe practice some good hard kicks right in the officials....um er.....well you get the picture.

Aw man the sad thing is there was a tv show on here during the world cup and after the Koreans lost 7-0 to Portugal they were all making jokes about how it will be 7 years of hard labour yuk yuk yuk. And then it turns out to be true.

Another strange story about the North Koreans. During the world cup they had a cheer squad of people all dressed in the gear, waving flags, the young women all looked good etc. Turns out they were all Chinese actors hired by the North Koreans to cheer for them, because they would not let anyone from their own country leave to go and watch the games.

It is sad because in reality what they joked about is true. I can't even imagine that happening in this day and age.

I can only wonder if they thought about their fate when they returned home.

Things could be worse. I remember traveling to Mexico and going to the Mayan ruins. Went to the arena where they played "the ball game". Young boys were trained very young for this sport. The object of the game was to get the ball through one of the rings.

The losing team was penalized by DEATH. The leader of the losing team was put to death as a sacrifice. I guess 7 years hard labor don't look so bad after all.
