Besides our number one hobby of gambling.........

9 replies • Last post

Hiya CL Members,

I know one of our favorite hobbies is gambling.......if it was not, none of us would be here! But we all do enjoy other hobbies as well.

One of my favorite hobbies is swimming. I swear sometimes i say i had to be a fish in my past life. Anything that relates to water and i love it. Even if it means gazing across the sea for hours it soothes my soul. I also enjoy planting flowers and vegetable garden in the spring. And my favorite love is birds!!! I love the birds and have many bird feeders. I have some of the most beautiful birds come into my yard. I will sit in the mornings with my cup of coffee on the deck and listen to their pretty melody!

I do dabble a bit in painting as well. I am far from a Picasso but i find it very relaxing and i get lost in it at times.

I hope you will share your hobbies too. I would really like to get to know all of you!!!

Football / soccer. And its world cup time!! yesss. I have played almost all my life and reached a decent level (semi-professional) and earned a little bit of money from it.

I went to the last World Cup in Germany and I had such a good time it nearly killed me. I wanted to go to South Africa but if I had have gone this time after just having a baby my wife certainly would have killed me!

Well... all I can say about that is that I will be thoroughly embarrassed if Australia loses to a team that cannot beat New Zealand.

touché lol

In our defense, it was a combined team that lost to NZ... but if my memory serves me well ( and it usually does Tongue ) you guys lost to 1-3 to USA.. although USA team is much better than NZ squad..

Our group is pretty tuff, and i hope both of our teams will make it through the group, leaving Germany and Ghana behind.

Go Serbia ! Wink

Play Safe!

not much chance of that. i don't think Australia is going to make it. Most likely Germany and Ghana, as they will be almost playing at home with the crowd support.

i just started to learn how to play and throw darts...i found that throwing a dart isn't as easy as i had thought it would be especially having played snooker/pool for most of my life. hopefully in time, more so sooner than later, i will be able to play competively and gamble at that too. Blush

I have played darts too but needless to say mostly in a bar. After a drink or two seems i play better than cold stone sober. If i see out playing i might just sneak a shot of Jack Daniels in your coke!

They used to show darts on tv when I was a kid. I remember all the guys being fat! And Eric Bristow would beat everybody ... you'd hear the announcer do his massive "onnne hunndreeed and eigggggggghttyyyyyy" when they got 3 triple 20s. Then you try to play it yourself and realise how incredibly hard it is. Good fun. But darts in a pub full of drunk people .. not a good combination!

I also played a lot of snooker and pool. My dad used to have a table at home so I got a lot of practice but I haven't played much in years.

I hate to be right in times like these ... but ... I told you so. If only I had bet on it!
