Strange customs around the world

5 replies • Last post

Please share any type of celebrations, strange or not, from around the world.

Polterabend This is a custom in Germany. They break plates to wish a soon-to-be-married couple good luck. The couple gets to clean up the mess signifying their ability to work together.

In this video, I'm not sure why the guy is wearing the tutu...lol. The tire burning...looks like the guys are having fun but what a terrible smell!

Other parts of the video just looks like guys having fun destroying engines.

I would worry about someone having a heart attack from the shock. They were joking about it being a 40% chance, but I bet it could happen! Crazy tradition if you ask me! lol!

That was crazy. I would love an excuse to throw and break a few plates, some days, lol! Funny guy in the tutu. 😜

There are many days I would like to break something. I thought it was funny that the truck was there. I could imagine all the time it would take them to clean stuff up and then there was that little tiny cup and saucer. I bet they sell a lot of plates in the country. It's a good way to get rid of ugly dishes too.
