Is anyone else hearing these sounds? I heard some in December that sounded like a huge engine running but not like these noises.

IDK. I tend to agree with some of the comments:

If these were legitimate videos, the people taking them wouldn't be silent. They'd exclaim, cuss, cry out, ask others what they think -- but no reaction at all? No matter who's behind the camera worldwide? Simply not plausible. And what about flocks of birds taking to the sky in the forests? Where are the people coming into city streets, panicked and looking to the sky and each other for answers? The eerie sounds are clearly added to video clips after the fact.
What caught my eye was the lack of interest in the hundreds and possibly thousands of people populating the cities at the very least. Why aren't other people taking to the streets and looking at the sky? I know I would be doing just that. I tend to think these sounds were added after the fact.

15 minutes wasted on a badly done hoax there's no talking in all of these clips and I don't care how seasoned you are ,someone would say something. Don't these idiots have anything better to do with their time than to waste our time? Come on BIN can't you do better than this?

Makes sense to me when you consider that no one is coming out and that there are no other sounds in the video.

This one did make me giggle:

Almost expecting to hear an awesome guitar solo by David Gilmour after the Roger Waters intro...Mother Earth plays Pink Floyd.

On another note, about a year ago, my friend who is a school psychologist told me that she heard strange sounds one night, and if her son hadn't been there she would have thought she was really losing it. She said it sounded it like hundreds of monkeys out chattering in the woods, and while they live in a small town, she lives in an apartment without a ton of woods around it. It was like 2am or 3am, and they both just looked at each other to confirm the other was hearing what the other was hearing, lol.

I have never heard any strange sounds that could not be explained. At least not that I recall.

IDK either. If I hear a strange sound, I'm not going to run out in the middle of the street, yell and curse...lol. I'm going to ask whomever is with me, "do you hear that?" If I am filming something to put on youtube I'm not going to talk all the way through it either. I think I would stay safe and comfy in my house. The other people could have been at work and not even home.

I think this is a compilation of many other people's videos. In one of the videos you can see that when the sound starts, the guy/girl pans the camera all around as to catch where it's coming from.

I am skeptical but it seems like a lot of thee videos are coming on youtube. If I heard the noise myself or knew someone I trusted who heard these noises then I would be more convinced. I'm still not ruling it out though.

I am always a skeptic, and a "have to see it to believe it," or in this case, "have to hear it," type of person. I do try to keep an open mind, though. Smile If nothing else, it is interesting and thought provoking.

Maybe some kind of wacky viral marketing stunt?

I'm not sure if it's a hoax but I'm not sure it isn't either. I would have to see or hear more proof either way. It very well could be a marketing stunt.
