What is one of your best buys?

I have two that I can think of off the bat. My first was a box of jewelry that I bought for $30.00. It had some gold and silver in it plus a lot of antique jewelry (costume jewelry). I also bought a very heavy homemade quilt for $10.00 at a garage sale.

What are your garage sale, flea market or auction treasure finds?

I have a store purchase that my friend made for me. She wanted to find a camisole to wear under her shirts at work. She had a 10 dollar off coupon and everything in the store (Van Husens) was 50% off. She went to buy the shirt and it came to under 10.00. They told her she had to buy something else. She started to look for socks or a piece of jewelry to make her purchase over 10 dollars.

Meanwhile, I was looking at a rack of shorts and jeans. They were all on sale for 5.00. I saw some cute pink shorts and some jeans that had been marked for $56.00. She looked at the socks in her hand, and she said she really didn't need the socks, and she would be happy to get me the jeans if they were in my size. I hesitated, but she kept insisting, and I even told her I would pay her for them. She took them up to the counter, and they told her she should have received another "friends and family" sale email where she gets an additional 30% off. She was then worried it would, again, go below her 10-dollar coupon. It did not. She ended up owing 56 cents. lol So, she bought me the pair of jeans for 56 cents, and I love them and wear them all the time. 🙂

Wow, now that is a bargain!

I recently got a good deal although it wasn't at a flea market. It was online. Ebay has something called Ebay bucks. I had never heard of them although I have been an ebay member for years. You go to My Account and look under summary. There they list deals you can do to get Ebay Bucks. I chose to sign up for Angie's List for a month. I think it cost $3.00 and change. I received a $15.00 Ebay Bucks certificate which I used to buy jewelry! Not as good as Hope's deal but still free money.

Even if you don't do any of the Ebay Bucks deals you can still get money back on each purchase you make.
