The movie of your life (who plays you?)

25 replies • Last post

Hello Everyone,

I am wondering if there was a movie made of your life, who would you want to play you? Why?

Also, who are some of your favorite actors and actresses (even if you would not want them to play you who are some of your other favorites?).

I actually have to think about my own question for a bit, lol, so I will look forward to reading your responses.

I know this is going to sound like a cop-out but I'd want me to play it! No-one can do me better than me! πŸ˜‚

However my life isn't that exciting or extraordinary, trust me! I don't think the cinemaphiles would be rushing to see a movie about me.

Favourite actors off the top of my head... Sean Connery, Johhny Depp, Al Pacino, Cate Blanchett, Robert DeNiro, Natalie Portman, Kate Winslet.

I'm actually not someone who really likes or dislikes any actors enough to make much of a difference to whether I see a film. For example I have friends who won't watch a movie because they dislike an actor because of the role they played in another film or something they supposedly said in an interview. To me that's silly. They are playing a new role in every film. Same goes for loving an actor so much that you want to see all their films. Every good actor has been in some complete turkeys.

Some favourite performances of mine:
Heath Ledger as the Joker
Sean Connery as James Bond
Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro in the movie Heat
Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow (could be about 5 others, he is an extremely good actor)
Natalie Portman in Leon /The Professional

I'd like me to be played by Rachel Weiss! I think she is very very very beautiful an talented! And I'd be glad if my boyfriend would be Jude Low in that movie 😜

I think that Nicole Kidman would play me wall after Hours, she can show truly strange not very sociable person. Others are Kate Winslet and Marion Cotillard.

Hmm I think Nicole kidman is unsociable, boring and not beautiful at all. She may be talented, but has such an unfriendly habitues that I would never allow her to play me !

Nicole Kidman used to be very highly regarded here in Australia. Not so much any more.

I will always remember her for this "classic" ... BMX Bandits.

I like her character and the image in Hours, not other ones. in other cases Kate Winslet and Marion are perfect!

Well, I still like Nicole Kidman, and I do think she is beautiful and her personality seems sweet (not that I know her, lol). I did love the movie, "The Hours." I really like Kate Winslet a lot, too. Rachel Weiss is another great choice!

I am still trying to think of my answer to my own question, lol! πŸ™‚

Okay, I finally came up with something. I might change my mind tomorrow, but here goes, lol.

I would want Amy Adams to play "young me," because I just adore her.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0010736/

I would want the "more mature" me to be played by either Susan Sarandan, Jessica Lange, or Meryl Streep, because they are all excellent, "classic," actresses.

I know i cheated, but I just could not make up my mind, lol. Funny how I chose redheads, too, when I am blonde, but actresses have to dye their hair all the time to play the part, right? lol

When I was growing up, many people told me that I looked like (young) LInda Blair, which was very frightening, considering her starring role. Older, people told me I looked like Pia Zadora, (LONG before her botched plastic surgery: YIKES!) although I thought I just looked like....ME. lol

Favorite actors and actresses? I have TOO many to list and I know I will think of more, but for starters:
Those named above, Tommy Lee Jones, (my "older man" crush), Brian Cranston, (another "not as older" man crush), Kevin Spacey, Robert Downey Jr., Alan Arkin, Daniel Day-Lewis, Javier Bordem (HOT! lol!), Johny Depp, Julia Roberts (LOVED some of her past movies), Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirran, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Tom Hanks, Emily Blunt (LOVED her and Amy Adams in Sunshine Cleaning!), Eva Mendes (gorgeous!), Hillary Swank, Diane Keaton, Marissa Tomei, Drew Barrymore, Kate Winslet, and Reese Witherspoon (I would like HER to play me, too, but I am not that "sweet" and good, lol!). Oh, and I LOVE Sandra Bullock, too! I could go on and on and on.....told you! πŸ˜‰

Thumbs up for Meril Streep! I adore her! As for Nicole Kidman here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaWxVdlRh4c) Ed, I bet she'd give you millions, if she knew you remembered this, not to voice up! πŸ˜‚

really good choices!
I adore Meryl Streep and other "classics"
I'm just young and for mature ones I think I would like to be played by Fanny Ardant. Or if it would be like comedy, it can be played by Diane Keaton as well πŸ˜€)
I forgot to list Irene Jacob, I like her style and the simplicity of the appearance, not being style of Chique.

Seeing as how my life has played out like The Hangover, I would say I would need a goof ball to play me.

I am voting in Sean William Scott as my movie portrayal. Think of him in the movie Role Models and you more or less have my personality (wise ass who does dumb things, gets tail, and somehow comes out OK in the end).

A goofball, eh, barbados? lol Sounds like a fun time anyway.

Gamble Master, I will check that You Tube in a bit (watching a movie right now: multitasking, lol).

Salivan, I love Meryl Streep, too. However, I don't recognize the other names, by name anyway, so I am going to look them up later, too. I learn something new every day. πŸ™‚

Fun reading all your responses. πŸ™‚

This is one of my VERY FAVORITE newer actresses. I have been hooked on the TV show, "The Good Wife," and Archie plays Kalinda Sharma, an investigator for the law firm. She is tough, intelligent and has more than one secret she is hiding. She also has an awesome wardrobe, lol! The actress is gorgeous, and she has already won an Emmy for this show that is now in Season 3. I love watching her act. She is so talented.

For more photos of her put "Archie Panjabi" in Google Images.

Oh my gosh, people! I think she is absolutely gorgeous!

I think that it is her role on The Good Wife that made me fascinated by her. Her character is truly one of a kind, and if you don't watch the show, then you don't really know her. Do you ever get to like a character on a movie or show, and maybe you didn't like them before but the role makes them so darn likeable or fascinating? That is the only way I can describe it, I guess. However, even off the show, in interviews, etc., she is so humble and intelligent and I will stand by the fact that she is simply gorgeous. I also polled three young adult sons and two out of three agree with me. The one who said "no comment," has a girlfriend already, lol!

Check this clip out. I guess I just like a strong woman, lol (and I am honestly, perfectly "straight" in my sexual orientation, but I just "fell in love" with the character, Kalinda," in The Good Wife). However, I believe I would still think she is beautiful even if I just viewed a photo without seeing the show. I guess we all have different tastes, which is what makes the world go 'round, right? πŸ™‚

Yes, and thank you, SG! Who said, so wisely, that "beauty is the eye of the beholder?" lol! Thank goodness, too, or only the "beautiful people" would get anywhere in this old world....um....I mean more than they already do, I guess, lol.

I too agree with SG, sg sg SG πŸ˜€ LOL

Hope, although I do not find Archie Panjabi attractive at all, I appreciate your choice and as for "beautiful people" , quite a god point you've got, I share!

Wasn't sure if you watched or not. It is a video with "Kalinda," from The Good Wife, and she is getting back at Blake who is another investigator for the firm who is looking into Kalinda's life too closely. She is an intensely private person, and she does not appreciate that a new lawyer even hired another investigator for the firm, which has always been HER job, and she is very resentful that he is looking into her private life. The video is her comeback, lol, and I just love it! I guess you have to watch the show, and that is what makes ALL the characters so special.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qokUtp1tzsA

Here is the music video from of the actual song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrdnS4wYHxg&ob=av2e

I have found three other songs/bands that I absolutely LOVE just from watching The Good Wife.
