I love to gamble. I think it makes things more interesting for parties involved in a disagreement on something, or a simple bet when something of importance is up for grabs.
I have found that my recent wagers have not worked out in my favor. Betting on sports with the guys at work I lost two weeks in a row. I then found myself wearing an offensive t-shirt and then a woman's lace thong to work!
My question for you out there is: Do you find yourself making small fun wagers outside of money gambling, and what interesting bets have you won and lost?
I want to see some good stories here! Can you beat my thong?

My all time favourite was after school once we had been to this pancakes restaurant place and everyone was pretty much full. But one guy there says he can do another 4 stack of pancakes. I say he can't and it ends up with about 5 of us chipping in to buy the stack for him, but he has to double our money back if he can't finish it. He makes it through the first pancake easy and starts to struggle on the 2nd. By the third he's folding the whole pancake up into as small a bundle as he can manage, trying to eat the whole thing in one go. This is when everyone at the table starts making gagging noises and fake vomiting. So he's staring at the 4th like its a battle or something, then slowly folds it up and eats it in one go after chewing for what seems like an eternity. He smiles and is pretty smug as we all get up to leave but suddenly he bolts for the bathroom! He almost makes it but sadly ends up spewing pancake chunks all over the bathroom door as he tries to get inside. Not a good look for the people at the restaurant!
Of course we made him pay up!
I have to say though that there's nothing that's going to make me wear a lace thong anywhere! 😂

We did the same , but in the university and we bet with my friends for buying the pancakes for the winner! They were really delicious, but overpriced as well 🙂
We also bet for some ice cream and usually delicious meals, but not for some funny things... I thing I either forgot, or there actually were no funny stories to tell you...

My son works at a sandwich chain in the U.S., called Jimmy Johns, and he won second place for eating this humongous sandwich (they have a name for it, but I can't think of it right now). He missed the first place record by seconds.
I don't bet on sports or on anything else outside of the casinos, come to think of it. I must lead a boring life, because I don't ever remember really betting anyone anything, even stupid "stuff" like in high school. I knew a kid who swallowed a goldfish on a bet. Yuk!

Anyway, we were waiting for our spots to come back online and were playing this game in the break room. We made the wager that the losers of the game had to hold onto the unfolded pocket of the winner's pants wherever he went.
The significance of this is a prison deal. When you are in prison and you are someone's (ahem) "property", you hold onto their pockets to show you are submissive to them; their "bitch" so to speak. Yeah...that was great walking around with my friend holding my pocket because he miscued on a card.
I can't imagine how he felt holding my pocket.

I bet some of my friends that I could make a candle stop burning by putting my hand over the pot it was in and depriving it of oxygen, it worked but i ended up with a giant blister on the palm of my hand after it got burnt a bit.
One time at a function I bet that I could eat every little individually wrapped piece of butter in the butter bowl. It was going fine until the others there made me scull a litre of water afterwards and well you can guess what happened after that... chunder!

My mom talks about playing "bid Euchre" with her friends in Florida, although I have not learned the game. Another fun one they play is called "hand and foot," which I did learn. Fun game.
