Steve Jobs Resigns From Apple

10 replies • Last post

Steve Jobs has resigned his position from Apple. I for one am shocked by his announcement, and hope the company can continue to keep cranking out awesome products. I am an Apple nut, and have owned a great deal of their products over the year.

Best of luck to you Mr. Jobs and I hope you can overcome the myriad of health issues you have faced over the past several years.

Geez ... there goes my Apple share price. Can't complain too much, I bought them at $90 a few years ago!

Anyway its not surprising, he hasn't been doing that much in recent times. Fingers crossed the people they have there can continue the good work.

I always thought of Steve as a genius and kind man, however, recently I watched a movie about Steve and Bill gates, a documentary one and I have changed my mind. He wasn't quite a good guy. I think that by the time he had become better. But for the beginning of Apple and so on, he was "a disaster" 😀)

Do you mean the Pirates of Silicon Valley? I've also watched that several times but think that the movie is of very low quality, due to the mistakes - they use Apple logo in the movie, which was designed much later than it is shown.. And so on .. many misunderstandings...

yeah, that one. yes, the quality of the movie is very low and I also do not find any reason or purpose of shooting that movie unless it was made by IBM owners or other unsuccessful computer manufacturers company 😀)

Agreed. The movie could be directed better, but never mind. The news is that Apple is said to be crowned the most admired company in terms of its customer experience, in a survey of global business leaders, conducted by customer-experience experts Beyond Philosophy

Yes, Apple is the best example of the importance and power of building a Brand, people are ready to pay more and more just for few improvements every new model of Apple appliances comes out

I agree, I guess the apple consumers have the strongest loyalty towards the brand than any other mobile brand in the world, and I guess that the contribution of the company is the main reason for this!

Loyalty is only one side, everybody assumes that if you have Apple, you are cool and they want to buy it to seem cooler in other people's eyes. I think that a whole Brand management textbook can be written only with the experience and cases of Apple.

I agree about brand management textbook, but the idea is the following - you want to seem cooler, so you buy Apple. This means that you're young, as you care about how cool you look with/without phone. Youngsters usually do not have enough money to buy an Apple device, so the company should make it attractive to their parents, who are actually the buyers, but not the consumers. That's the story.
