Zet Casino is an online casino established in 2018 that runs on a multi-software platform offering games from a variety of suppliers. It is operated by Araxio Development N.V. and is registered under the jurisdiction of Curaçao. Last Updated: November 11, 2020.
Zet Casino launched in 2018 to a bit of fanfare, as operator Araxio Development N.V. designed an attractive site with a ton of games, tournament system, and reasonably quick payouts. Since that time, the site has continued to evolve, slowly adding games to their offering, while tweaking small things to offer an improved experience.
Zet Casino has a web-based platform that uses your internet browser to register, deposit, and play games. The site uses a platform from Soft2Bet, which provides the games to customers and the backend tools to the operator. The library of games contains titles from the likes of Microgaming, Net Entertainment, Play'n Go, Nyx, Amaya, and dozens more.
Slots make up the vast majority of the games at Zet, and the number itself is staggering. There's obviously going to be some clunkers here and there, but you do have access to a bunch of quality video slots that pack in good features and neat themes. The majority of the games can be played on your mobile phone or tablet too, letting you test your luck on the go.
There are table games available, with games like blackjack, poker, baccarat, roulette, and more all available. The real standout here though are the live games which are supplied by live dealer specialist Ezugi. These games let you participate in a physical casino game being broadcast from a studio and are heads and shoulders above the standard games you can play in terms of being immersive.
There are a couple of downers in terms of the games on offer. Firstly, despite having suppliers such as Microgaming and Net Ent, I couldn't find any of their multi-million Euro progressive jackpots on offer. Secondly there are games from what we regard as a blacklisted supplier known as Pragmatic Play. This company has an awful history under their previous name of Topgame for offering crooked games, numerous player complaints, and disappearing progressive jackpots. Their reputation was bad in fact that they created a new company with a new name to try to hide their past. As usual we warn players to avoid all games published by Pragmatic Play.
The banking system is adequate at Zet Casino, with deposit and withdrawal options including eWallets, credit cards and bank transfers. Deposits are handled instantly while withdrawals generally take 24-48 hours to be paid. There are weekly and monthly withdrawal limits that vary depending on the VIP player status you hold at the casino. These start as low as only €500 per day and €6000 per month at the lowest "Alpha" tier, and can up to €1500 per day and €20,000 per month at the highest "Zeta" tier. These are small limits, even at the top tier, and clearly this casino is not equipped to deal with those of you with larger bankrolls.
A clause that is written into the T&Cs at this casino states that the casino may ask for a copy of transaction statements for the prior three to six months should you request a deposit or withdrawal from an eWallet account. Presumably this is to verify that you are indeed the owner of a Neteller or Skrill account, but it seems a little invasive to me. Other casinos running on the same Soft2Bet platform have prior form for requesting these documents, so if you are not prepared to share such information you should look elsewhere.
The customer support team is reachable through telephone, email, and live text chat. I paged the team using the chat function and had a response in under 20 seconds. The rep I spoke with was friendly and able to answer some basic questions about the games and the welcome bonus that I asked. I don't expect a lot from these reps, but I must commend the team at Zet for doing a good job.
Information protection is vital these days, and Zet Casino does protect your data by using standard SSL encryption technology, which is seen at any reputable website these days. This is a cheap and effective way to keep your personal and financial data from being intercepted as it travels across the internet, so it's good to see it in place here.
One thing I found distinctly odd was that when I registered I was confronted with the typical checkboxes that give them consent to send me offers and marketing via email. As usual I made sure the box was not checked and in doing so was presented with a message that said something to the effect that if I did not check the box they would not be able to offer me a safe and secure game. After that WTF moment I was able to continue and register without checking the box but its pretty clear they are trying to coerce people into allowing the casino to spam them through unwarranted fear-mongering.
Another one to watch out for at Zet Casino is the bonus wagering policy. Aside from bonus wagering requirements that are a little on the high side, the casino maintains an extensive list of slots that have reduced contribution towards meeting the wagering requirements. There appears to be three categories, with some games contributing only 20% per unit wagered, others contributing nothing while still being allowed for play, while another list is games that are completely forbidden while playing with a bonus. Normally this policy is aimed at preventing you from wagering out on games that have a much lower RTP such as blackjack or video poker. However Zet's policy is excessive because the reduction in contribution towards the wagering requirements is nowhere near commensurate with the difference in RTP between the slots.
Zet holds an operator license through master licensor Antillephone of Curacao. Regular readers of our reviews will know that this does not mean much at all, as the jurisdiction does zip to protect or assist players in the event of a dispute with one of their licensed casinos. In terms of fairness, Zet doesn't publish any payout ratios or audit reports for their casino, nor do they list the theoretical RTP values for any of their games aside from those from suppliers that voluntarily disclose this information in game. Of course I have already mentioned the questionable history of Pragmatic Play and how it was caught running unfair games under its previous guise of TopGame. This casino scores poorly in this category.
There is a responsible gaming page on the casino's website, providing some information on avoiding underage or addictive gambling behaviours. The site does have self-exclusion policies in place, but you are required to contact them via email to request an exclusion. Aside from this there are no controls or limits for your activity on the site like we see at first class regulated casinos. They are doing the bare minimum in this department.
There is little to say other than Zet Casino is another similar Soft2Bet white label casino. A lot of effort seems to have gone into the flashy side of the casino and I have to admit that the game selection is fantastic. However it is the operational side that lets this site down, with the low withdrawal limits, weird banking rules, lack of transparency in terms of RTP values, and the absence of responsible gambling controls all problems that need to be fixed if this casino is ever going to be anything other than mediocre.
