Review of Tower Casino
The first thing you notice when inspecting Tower Gaming is the impressively designed website that is both attractive and easy to use. Tower Gaming offers players a one-stop shop for Casino, Poker, Sportsbetting and Bingo. The casino is offered as either a downloadable installer or an all-Flash "instant play" affair that can be played entirely in your web browser, with software provided by Net Entertainment.
Closed - player accounts transferred to Jetbull
Players received an email in April 2013 advising them that Tower Gaming was closing its doors and that their accounts and balances would be transferred to Jetbull Casino.
Tower Casino games
All games at Tower Casino are offered as an "instant play" flash game which loads directly in your web browser window. It is therefore very quick and convenient to get started, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that you can try each and every game for free in fun play mode with no registration or obligation required at all. Tower Casino offers a wide selection of table games including Blackjack, Baccarat, Roulette, Craps, Caribbean Stud and other table poker variants, along with more unusual casino games including Hi-Lo Switch and Oasis Poker. Tower also offers several video poker variants, keno, scratchcards, and virtual horse racing, along with the ubiquitous slot machines.
Tower Casino has a smaller number of slots than other monolithic downloadable casinos, but what they lack in quantity they make up for in quality. All the games are attractively designed and feature varied and interesting themes, along with good quality sound effects - all of which makes you wonder why other casinos make you download so much data to play games with lesser polish. In addition, the slots all boast a "preview feature" button which allows you to see a demonstration of the bonus rounds before you play. While it might spoil the surprise a little, this feature at least lets you know exactly what to expect and makes it easier to judge if the game is to your taste. The bonus rounds are also varied - one which caught my attention was the "battleships" round on the Pacific Attack slot where you have to pick squares and sink the enemy fleet in order to win bonus cash - just like the game you probably played as a kid.
Bonus Terms - It's a trap!
Unfortunately if you're going to play at Tower Casino, don't plan on claiming a bonus. They have perhaps the most ridiculous wagering clause we have ever seen at an online casino:
Wager Requirement: Player must clear the 30 times (bonus + deposit) wagering requirement on their initial deposit and bonus. If player clears the bonus, they will have access to their deposit and the bonus only. Any associated winnings earned while clearing the sign-up bonus will have a wagering requirement of 30 times before a withdrawal can be made.
Lets illustrate how insidious that term is with a simple example. Say you deposit €100, they give you a €100 bonus, and you are required to wager 30 x (100 + 100) which is €6000 in wagering. Should you have the good fortune to have won say €500 after finishing the €6000 in wagering, you will then have to wager it a further 30 times, or €15,000. The more you win, the more you have to wager. Ridiculous, ludicrous, insidious - whatever you want to call it, just make sure you don't claim a bonus at Tower Casino.
Banking, support and security
The casino has a comparatively small number of banking methods, but the major eWallets are covered including Neteller, Moneybookers, and Click2Pay in addition to standard cheque and credit card processing. As the casino does not accept players from the USA and is therefore exempt from the associated payment processing difficulties, this should not present a problem to the vast majority of Tower customers. Withdrawals are handled in a quick and efficient manner, and we found we received cash in our Neteller account in a day or two after a one-time identity verification.
You have two options should you require customer support at Tower Gaming - via email or live text chat. Live text chat is the most convenient, but it would be better if Tower provided a phone number for people to call for more urgent matters.
Tower Gaming is a highly polished one-stop shop for online betting. Backed by a Gibraltar-licensed operator, players can expect fair play and a high level of professionalism. However much of the good work is undone by one of the most hostile and unfair bonus wagering clauses we have ever seen. Recommended, but only for players who do not want to claim a bonus.
