Review of Spinsvilla Casino

Spinsvilla Casino is a mobile-focused casino opened in 2016 that runs on a Cozy Games platform. It offers its services to a small handful of selected countries including the United Kingdom, Norway and Sweden. Note that it should not be mistaken for another casino with the confusingly similar name of Spinzilla. I took a look at this one on my trusty iPhone.

Software and game selection

The Spinsvilla site is completely browser-based affair, meaning you don't have to download any extra software or install an app on your phone in order to register and play there. The Cozy Games platform that this casino runs on includes well known games from Microgaming such as Playboy, Game of Thrones, and Bridesmaids. However they don't have a full Microgaming collection and I noticed some well loved games such as Thunderstruck II, The Finer Reels of Life, and all the progressive jackpot games are missing. The collection is padded out by a bunch of games developed by Cozy Games themselves that are nowhere near as polished as the Microgaming offerings.

Aside from slot machines, the casino's library includes a small selection of Blackjack, Roulette, Video Poker, and Scratch Cards. The video poker machines available include Deuces Wild, Aces & Eights, and Jacks or Better. Overall there are a shade over 150 games to choose from on the site, and all of them are playable via your mobile phone or tablet.

Banking and customer support

The banking system at Spinsvilla is decent, but there are a few policies that keep it from being what I'd call great or even good. The cashier supports a relatively small number of deposit and withdrawal methods such as Visa, MasterCard, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard, and Boku, but this should be fine given the small number of countries that the casino allows its customers to reside in. Withdrawals are processed Monday to Fridays, but there is a 24-48 hour hold on cashouts, during which time they can be cancelled and funds returned to your account.

Speaking of withdrawals, Spinsvilla has some of the lowest withdrawal limits that I have ever seen, which is a real shame. Withdrawals are capped at £1000 per day, £3000 per week, and £5000 per month, though you may not be able to withdraw even that much due to this clause that lurks in the T&Cs:

Players who withdraw a sum of money that is 2 times or more greater than their lifetime deposits across the site will only be able to withdraw their winnings at a sum of £1000 per week.

Worse than this though is that there is a hard win limit in place at this casino that is set at only £10,000 per day. So if you have a big win in excess of this limit, you won't be paid the full amount. Progressive jackpot wins are thankfully excluded from the daily win limit, but the casino's terms state that you'll be paid in instalments of only £10,000 per week should you win one. Though I am not one to claim bonuses these days, I did notice that the standard bonus terms also impose a maximum win limit on all bonuses of £500 or 10x the bonus amount, whichever is higher.

My experience with their customer service was good. Help is available 24 hours a day, with support contactable through live chat, email, and telephone. The person I spoke to was helpful and friendly, even though I gave them a bit of a grilling about all the win limits and withdrawal caps. I'd rate them about average, which is a good thing.

Security, fairness, and responsible gaming

Spinsvilla protects the transmission of player data using the standard SSL encryption that most reputable sites use. This is good, as it keeps outside parties from snooping your data and there's not a casino we recommend that doesn't do this.

In terms of fairness and transparency, the casino claims a 94-96% return to player percentage for all their slot machines, along with ranges for other game types. However I couldn't find any specific information that backs those claims up, either in the form of published theoretical RTP values or any audits of actual payout rates.

Responsible gaming is addressed professionally in accordance with UK Gambling Commission requirements. You are able to find information on identifying problem behaviours, as well as set limits on your deposits or wagers at the casino, or self-exclude yourself from the casino either temporarily or permanently.

Conclusion

There are some nice things going on at Spinsvilla, but the excessive restrictions on the amount you can withdraw, not to mention the very low daily win cap, left me with a real sour taste in my mouth. These limits give the impression that this casino is only interested in and capable of dealing with players that are playing for pocket change. Players from the United Kingdom in particular have numerous better options than this.
