Roxy Palace Casino is an online casino established in 2003 with games supplied by Microgaming. It is operated by 32Red PLC and is registered under the jurisdictions of United Kingdom and Malta. Last Updated: December 4, 2020.
For the last decade Roxy Palace Casino has been providing punters throughout the world a premier betting service that includes an excellent Microgaming platform with large variety of games, and has continued to evolve in order to provide live dealer and mobile games to its clients. The casino is definitely one that is worth checking out. What makes me feel that way? Read on to find out.
Powered by Microgaming, Roxy Palace Casino offers players the ability to download and install its Microgaming software on their PC, or to register to play games directly in their web browser via Microgaming's Quickfire platform. I generally prefer the former option as the downloadable software offers the best performance. However the in browser play is worth checking out too, because there are many games available there that you won't find in the download software (and vice versa).
Game selection numbers into the hundreds thanks to Microgaming’s massive slot library. Here you can find big name titles such as Thunderstruck II, Jurassic Park, Tomb Raider, Avalon II, and many more. These games range from the old and mediocre through to the modern and very advanced, with punters getting the chance to participate in some very deep features that can prove to be quite immersive.
Most Microgaming casinos participate in a progressive jackpot network that pools the jackpots between all casinos hosting the progressive games. Roxy Palace is no exception, and offers you the chance of taking home a huge win on slot machines such as Mega Moolah, The Dark Knight, and Major Millions among others. There are also progressive versions of Roulette, Blackjack, and Caribbean Stud Poker for those of you that prefer the tables.
Speaking of which, table games are also available at Roxy Palace, with the casino offering a large variety of games such as Blackjack, Baccarat, Craps, Poker, and Roulette to punters, with a few variations sprinkled in to shake things up a bit. Adding to these titles is a booming Live Casino, which features Baccarat, Blackjack, and Roulette games that are webcasted straight to your home where you play the hands.
Roxy Palace has put a key focus on offering mobile casino games in recent years, and the result is a platform that supports Android and Apple smartphones and tablets. While the amount of games aren’t as numerous as what you will find on the desktop client, Roxy Palace’s mobile casino app is very nice and is actually available for download through Google’s Play Store and Apple App Store.
Banking is done relatively well at Roxy Palace Casino, with the operator offering a large amount of choices when it comes to depositing funds (see list on right). Unfortunately withdrawals are typically held for 48 hours during which time you can reverse your cashout. Sadly when I asked customer support, they indicated that they do not allow pending withdrawals to be "flushed" or paid out immediately.
Another thing that I am not a fan of is the operator’s policy of capping wins at $4000 per week if your winnings are greater than five times your lifetime deposit amount. While this isn’t the worst withdrawal policy I have seen, and it is common to a few other Microgaming casino groups, any restrictions like these are not great. Clearly, the wording of the rule indicates that the casino is willing to pay big wins in one go to those players that have deposited enough to qualify, but they are selectively applying it to players who are fortunate enough to have a huge win relative to their deposits. I would rather the casino were willing to pay a big win in its entirety in one go to every customer.
Support is helpful though, and the fact that phone numbers are available for several different countries as well as email and instant messaging options makes the staff easily reachable. Furthermore, casino support staff at Roxy Palace seem to know their stuff, and I found that they were able to answer the questions I threw their way, albeit not always to my satisfaction (as per the withdrawals policy).
Roxy Palace is a good casino that offers players a large selection of games, a great live casino, and an excellent mobile platform in which to play on the go. However I don’t like the withdrawal limitations and the selective enforcement of a "big winners" policy. The reality is that there is little to separate Roxy Palace from the herd of other Microgaming casinos out there.
