NextCasino is an online casino established in 2013 that runs on a multi-software platform offering games from a variety of suppliers. It is operated by Minotauro Media Ltd, Ireland and is registered under the jurisdictions of United Kingdom and Malta. Last Updated: March 9, 2020.
NextCasino is a well respected casino that for many years ran on a multi-software platform provided by EveryMatrix. However in recent times it changed to a platform provided by NeoGames in association with a company known as Aspire Global. I therefore took another look at the casino to see what has changed and to keep our evaluation of the casino up to date.
NextCasino features an assortment of slots, table games, and video poker titles from some of the best software developers in the world. There are dozens of spectacular titles available from developers such as Net Entertainment, NextGen, Microgaming, NextGen, and Play n'Go. You will find that many of the slots are themed after popular franchises, with titles like Jurassic Park, South Park, Judge Dredd, and others making an appearance. A standard assortment of table games and video poker machines are also available, with a few variations thrown in to make the games a bit different from the standard fare. The move to a new platform has also seen the addition of a number of NeoGames developed scratchcards which apparently someone out there must enjoy, but in my opinion are incredibly lame.
Those who like to play for progressive jackpots will be pleased to see that a couple of the big progressive games from Net Entertainment are available for play at NextCasino. This includes the likes of Mega Fortune, and Divine Fortune, of which the former has paid multi-million Euro prizes in the past. There are also some smaller prizes on offer on a small number of different progressive slots and table games. You can see the current jackpot values recorded by our jackpot tracker below on this page. What you won't see though are the Microgaming progressive jackpots, as for some reason the casino offers the developer's games but none of its progressive jackpots.
A live casino is also in place, with the casino offering Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat, and Three Card Poker. The stakes begin at just €1 and go all the way up to €5000 per hand. The tables are broadcast from a live dealer studio run by Evolution Gaming and feature a staff of attractive dealers. There is also an AutoRoulette game that completely cuts out any interaction if you just want to focus on the game.
If you are looking to play high quality casino games on your mobile device, NextCasino has a robust mobile platform that is compatible with Apple and Android smartphones and tablets. There is no software download required for this, as the casino operates exclusively through your device's web browser. While you can't play all of NextCasino's games on your mobile devices, there is still a healthy amount of games that you can play including many of Net Entertainment and NextGen's newest slots.
Banking at NextCasino is adequate, with the casino offering several ways to deposit and withdraw money. These methods include credit cards, e-Wallet, and money wire, and there are several varieties of each out there for you to use. In the past I have had withdrawals paid to a Neteller or Skrill account in a matter of hours. However my most recent test of the withdrawal process after the change of platform was a step backwards in that respect. It took a little over 48 hours to reach my e-wallet, with most of that period spent sitting in the casino unprocessed and ready to be reversed.
There is also a paltry €7000 per month withdrawal limit, which the casino claims can be increased for "VIP players". The irony of this of course is that no "VIP" with deep pockets is going to play at a casino with such tiny limits in the first place.
Customer support is good, and the change in platform has provided the additional benefit of phone based customer support, with the casino able to be contacted for the cost of a local call from many countries around the world. If phones are not your thing, service is available through email and instant message, and the staff is capable in providing help with bonuses, game rules, and small technical issues that may arise.
NextCasino holds licenses to operate an online casino from the United Kingdom Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority. It discloses that it provides no protection for player funds In accordance with UKGC standards (formerly known as "basic protection"). This means that if the casino were to become insolvent or go out of business, creditors would still be entitled to claim your money to service debts if you still had it in the casino. Needless to say, this is not a good thing.
Some of the games offered at this casino, such as those developed by Net Entertainment and Play 'n Go, disclose their RTP settings in game via the paytable or help files. However many others do not, and there is no single consolidated list of games and their RTP percentages on the site, nor does the casino publish monthly payout audits. I found it interesting to note that of the games that do disclose their RTP values, Play'n Go games in particular were running at a reduced payout rate of around 94% rather than their default 96%.
The responsible gambling policy of the casino meets UKGC mandated standards. Therefore through your account settings page you are able to set up daily, weekly, or monthly deposit and/or wager limits. You can also request a temporary or permanent self exclusion from playing at the casino by contacting the support department.
While it was once a place with some of the biggest and best choices of casino games on the internet, the switch to the Aspire Global platform has lowered my opinion of this casino. In particular, there are now fewer games and the 48 hour wait time on withdrawals is unacceptable for customers that will be used to much quicker payment. That said, if you can accept that in advance then it is still a good casino that is worth checking out for the experienced player.
