Review of King Solomons Casino
Online betting has really taken off in recent years, bringing many new online betting brands to the forefront in licensed jurisdictions. King Solomons Casino is not one of these sites, as it was established all the way back in 1998, eons ago in Internet terms. It is licensed in Curacao and offers a good selection of Playtech games and a stable banking system. This casino once ran RTG software and was considered a bad place to play, but management changes several years ago and trouble-free operation since have done wonders for the casino's reputation. I took a look to see if the ing Solomons of today is better than the one of old.
Software and game selection
King Solomons Casino features a gaming library that is powered by Playtech casino software. The casino’s games include dozens of video slots, a mid-size table gaming selection, and a smattering of video poker and parlour games such as scratch cards and arcade games.
The slots are the main focus here, with King Solomons prominently featuring licensed games such as X-Men, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, King Kong, and more. Backing up these titles are many proprietary titles that Playtech’s developers have built completely from scratch. Many of these games are a lot of fun to play and are worth your time, although there are some games that you can tell were churned out in the quest for quantity over quality.
Progressive jackpots are available in bunches here, with the casino boasting 36 different games with a big prize to be won. The majority of these titles offer jackpots in the several thousand Euro range, but punters looking to get rich may want to stick with Spamalot, Funky Fruits, Gladiator, or Beach Life, all of which have awarded wins in excess of one million Euros. However the withdrawal policy that limits payouts to a small weekly amount makes a mockery of the prizes on offer for many of these games.
Table games are available, although not in as large of numbers as we have seen at some casinos. You will find most of the Vegas staples such as Blackjack, Poker, Roulette, Craps, and Baccarat available, and there are a few variations that alter the rules just enough to keep things fresh. At the time I reviewed King Solomons, the casino did not offer either live dealer or mobile casino games, which are quickly becoming an expected feature of all top internet casinos.
Banking and customer support
Banking at King Solomons Casino is decent. King Solomons Casino allows punters the chance to deposit via credit card, e-Wallet, and bank wire. Deposits are handled instantaneously, with funds showing up in your bankroll quickly. Withdrawals are a bit slower, with most payments processed and paid out in around five business days, including a 48 hour pending period during which time you can succumb to temptation and reverse your winnings. Still, the casino’s virtual banker is quite stable and I have not come across any recent issues with this operator.
The other drawback to the casino banking, apart from the mediocre payment speed, is a $5,000 weekly withdrawal limit. While this is effectively higher than many other low grade Playtech casinos that limit players to as little as $9999 a month, the T&Cs do not clarify whether this limit applies to progressive jackpot wins. I asked support and they were unable to give me a satisfactory answer so I have to assume that since progressives are not explicitly excluded from this limit, they must be included.
Customer service is decent, with King Solomons offering support in several languages via telephone, email, or instant message. I did notice that the staff at the casino was quick at delivering basic assistance, but more complicated matters like the progressive jackpot withdrawal policy mentioned above was too difficult.
King Solomons Casino is a site that has been around for a long time and offers a solid online betting experience that is good, but not great. It is licensed by a weak jurisdiction that does nothing to assist players in the event of a dispute, withdrawal payments are not quick, and it has a low weekly withdrawal limit that I assume includes massive progressive payouts. This is a fairly standard Playtech casino that is several steps behind the best.
