Review of Ignition Casino

American players often have a difficult time finding a good online casino to play at, as there are dozens of bad options for every good site offering their services to them. One company that has gotten things right with though is the Bovada group, who have developed and deployed the popular casinos Bovada and Slots.lv, which are known for their diverse library of games and betting solutions as well as quick payout times and professional management. I was therefore thrilled to see the operator's newest venture, Ignition Casino.

Software and Game Selection

Ignition Casino is a web-based casino that you access through your PC or mobile device's web browser. It is predominantly designed to be friendly to mobile browsers with a large squarish layout featuring buttons that look over-sized on a regular computer web browser. The site offers games supplied by Rival Gaming, and Bovada's older version of Realtime Gaming (RTG) slots, and even a few of the operator's proprietary games which you won't find anywhere else outside this group of casinos. Registering an account is a simple process, requiring you to enter some personal information directly through the site. I found it only took me a minute to do so, and just another minute to deposit funds into my account.

The game selection at Ignition Casino is good, giving you the chance to play video and classic slots, with dozens of games available in the 5-reel video slot style and 28 different classic 3-reel games on the casino's roster. There are also progressive jackpots available, with 19 slots giving you the chance to win prizes worth thousands of dollars.

In addition to slots, there are a series of table games to play, and I found myself frequenting the casino's five different styles of blackjack. Players looking for other table games will also find Caribbean Stud, Three Card Rummy, Pai Gow, Tri Card Poker, and other games, all of which share a similar presentation. Video poker and parlour style games like bingo, keno, and various scratch cards are also available to play.

Banking and Customer Support

Banking options at Ignition are lesser than casinos that offer services in regulated areas. You only have the option of depositing via credit/debit card or Bitcoin, both of which are accepted instantly. Payouts are allowed through a check that is sent via courier (usually FedEx), wire transfer, or through Bitcoin. Having withdrawn from Bovada in the past, I can tell you that the check method is the fastest I have ever seen for an online casino, as I always tend to get my checks within three business days. You get one free check per month, and any additional requests carry a fee. If you prefer Bitcoin you can expect to be paid in under 48 hours.

The casino appears quite keen to persuade punters to use Bitcoin for both their deposits and withdrawals, citing the instantaneous nature of transfers and the lack of fees as strengths of the electronic currency. That is as may be, but those of you who prefer to use Bitcoin should note that the casino does not allow you to use it as an in-game currency. Instead they convert your BTC to U.S. Dollars on the way in and then back again on the way out when you withdraw. This of course leaves you subject to the rapid fluctuations of the BTC/USD exchange rate, which can regularly change by several percent in either direction on the same day.

Customer support is available through email, telephone, and live text chat. Staff are available to help you 24 hours a day, and I never had to wait more than a few minutes to get help. In the past there was no text chat facility but I am pleased to that they have added this in recent times as it is often the most convenient method of contacting support when you are sitting at your computer.

Security, Fairness, and Responsible Gaming

I was happy to see that Ignition Casino protects its players' information by using SSL encryption on their site at all times. This helps keep hackers or other bad guys from stealing your personal and financial information. This of course also applies to the banking system.

The fairness of the games or random number generator used is not directly addressed by Ignition Casino, either by publishing audited payout figures or theoretical RTP numbers for any of its games. While formerly licensed in Kahnawake, since September 2016 this casino does not appear to be licensed by any regulator or jurisdiction.

While responsible gaming is addressed by the usual page of self-help information, there are no in-casino controls available for players to limit their gaming activity. Players can self-exclude themselves from the site by contacting the casino.

Conclusion

Ignition Casino is effectively a skin of sister site Slots.lv, but I still really enjoyed my time with it. I like the reliability that Ignition Casino gives me as a player, and the fact that I can get money quickly from the casino is a definite plus. If you're looking for a stable casino, I highly recommend Ignition Casino to you.

Ignition appears to be an almost identical site to Bovada except there is no sportsbook associated with it. Ignition does have poker, blackjack, slots and live dealer games. I find this site trustworthy and never had an issue with withdrawing. Sometimes using a credit card to deposit can have issues so I would recommend bitcoin. Overall it's a fun site to play on if you're looking to play some poker of slots.

I originally used Ignition just for poker but have ventured over to the Casino. This site is another one associated with Bovada. Only offers poker and the Casino. I never had an issue with this site and the withdrawals seem to take about 48 hours. Wide variety of games which are identical to the Bovada connected sites. Layout is a little different and not being able to search the slots for different types is a bit annoying. They have an award system where you can accrue points to redeem for cash or poker tournament tickets. Overall it's a decent option for American players who like to play poker and casino games.

The issues with credit card deposits are due to the Aussie government crackdown on offshore gambling sites. It is the same as what Americans punters have been putting up with for years. The credit card companies try to block known gambling transactions. This is why so many sites are moving to Bitcoin as due to the decentralised nature it cannot be blocked.

That said we recommend that you do not transfer to or from a gambling site directly using Blockchain or Coinbase or any other online wallet. This is because it may be against their terms of service to do so and it can get your account there closed. Due to Bitcoin being an immutable ledger that is recorded for all time, they can go back and retrospectively ban you if they discover in the future that an address that you sent to or from is associated with gambling. So it is better to use your own wallet on your computer or phone, or even better a hardware wallet and only transfer to or from the exchange if you want to exchange back to dollars.

I recently started playing on Ignition Casino because it's one of the few viable options for Australian poker players.

My initial experience wasn't amazing: they charged excessive fees on my credit card deposits (10.2% excess in fees on a $50 deposit, 6.4% excess in fees on a $100 deposit) without any prior warning. The deposits went to some very shady-looking Russian/Chinese businesses with mention of clothing and things in their names.

I like to test the limits of services that hold my money so I asked if I should chargeback the unexpected fees, at which point Ignition banned my account (which had a live balance). I spent many tedious hours in live chat and on the phone to get my account restored. The competence of their support staff tends to range from blatantly inept to surprisingly professional, while email response times varied from minutes to several days.

Since then, I have made multiple transactions with Bitcoin (my only other deposit option). The fees were negligible and Ignition have processed deposits/withdrawals up to $2,000 without issue. Bitcoin deposits take 1-2 minutes to process and withdrawals take 48-72 hours. Australian players can buy Bitcoin on Coinspot, transfer to a wallet via Blockchain.info, then deposit on Ignition (or vice versa for withdrawals).

While the non-Flash casino offerings are relatively limited to a few highlights (slots: A Night With Cleo and Gold Rush Gus...table games: Tri Card Poker and Baccarat...live dealer: Roulette and Blackjack), Ignition's poker client is easily the standout offering - it's exceptional.

The poker client is designed to protect casual players with anonymous tables and quick seat which I found refreshing as a player that barely knows what GTO stands for. If you're a low-stakes amateur/hobbyist who doesn't plan to multi-table, this is the best poker client you'll find for profitable casual play. The poker games are fast-paced and enjoyable.

Despite some initial issues, I have been very impressed with Ignition Casino overall. I'll update this review if my opinion changes in the future.

You make some good points luckychick. We've gone with our experience on this one as we know that the operator (who also runs Bovada, Slots.lv, and a few other casinos) has proven to be reliable for a decade or more, and we regard them as one of the better options for Americans. Where we have said "stable" it relates to the professionalism and longevity of the operator - i.e. the casino is unlikely to up and disappear overnight, something we have seen from many casinos over the years.

When you're looking at casinos available to Americans, as I mentioned above almost none of them report RTPs (I can't think of any right now), and the ones that are "licensed" have worthless approvals from places like Curacao, Belize, or Costa Rica that mean nothing anyway. This group used to have a Kahnawake license, which was actually worth something as they do regulate their license holders and assist players in disputes, but Kahnawake stopped licensing all casinos that accept Americans. So compared to their competition, this is one of the better options for Americans which is reflected in the review, but it is also fair to say that the pickings are slim.

Re the progressive jackpot - we have to write code to read and save the jackpot values and the simple explanation is that we haven't added that one to our tracker. It must be new. I'm not sure what you mean about the big winners listed on our site? We don't generally report on winners unless the jackpot is 6 figures or more.

I have commented earlier about Ignition Casino, but I have questions regarding this websites review.

How can you highly recommend a casino that, "does not appear to be licensed by any regulator or jurisdiction?" You also state, "The fairness of the games or random number generator used is not directly addressed by Ignition Casino, either by publishing audited payout figures or theoretical RTP numbers for any of its games." And you refer to Ignition as "stable" in your conclusion. Why would a casino hide their RTPs, and decide not to get their RNG certified by a third-party any longer?

Also, you list Ignition's progressive jackpots but are missing the game DRAGONS whose jackpot resets almost daily from about $8k back to the $1k seed amount. I see this happen all the time on DRAGONS, so where are all these BIG WINNERS listed on your site? Is Ignition not reporting on this progressive jackpot, as lots of winning is supposedly going on?

I started playing at Ignition Casino in October 2017, and by the end of the year I was about $1500 down but was overall satisfied with all aspects. Since the start of 2018, I have lost about 70% of my deposits. The RTP seems to have been changed, as evident by the way the slots are playing. I am a seasoned player for years and can tell something is up. I am bummed out that this has happened, I am lucky to get my $50 deposit up to a $100, but usually gets to $60 - $80 max and will fluctuate numerous times up to that amount before ultimately losing it in 2 minutes with slots going completely cold.

Ignition reps have told me numerous times that they are regulated by Curacao e-Gaming but there is no logo, or mention on their website anywhere.

Not sure what has changed but maybe they control players individual RTP's because it certainly feels this was. I have played one slot for 5-days in a row and three times the $5k has reset to $1k so someone is winning or Ignition is resetting it. The recent winners page has no dates listed and has not changed in months.

Have to give 2-stars, where in December I would have given close to 5-stars.

Please let me know if anyone else agrees.

I have played on Ignition for the last year or two, whenever we were encouraged to move from Bovada for their poker. They seem to be a great place to play, not only their poker but the variety of casino slots and table games. Their customer service has always been quick helpful and friendly. I do hear a lot of people complain they they don't have a lot of bonus and rewards given to everyone all the time. The reason for that is they are one of the casinos which actually pay and don't rip you off and lie to you. I have cashed out as much as $7,000 and have had friends who have cashed out multiple 1,000s of dollars with no issue what so ever. Last withdrawal made was a few weeks ago, $600 which I did through bitcoin which said it would take 72 hours to review, but I had it in less than 6 hours. I think they have a lot of great stuff going for them. More recently they updated their rewards program which I think has been great. They do actually reward you for your play, I don't see any issue or discouraging things to say about them. For my money, I would only play with them or their related sites as they have been the best to deal with and actually are right and fair. More recent I have been playing their jackpot poker, which I have won at a few times. And while I have yet to win one of their million dollar poker pool prizes, I have finished in the money more than a few times and have gotten paid every time I have ever request a check which came in less than 2 weeks, and now bitcoin which like I previously stated was 6 hours, although its usually around 48 or less from my experience. I would encourage anyone to play here or their related sites, slots.lv & bovada. I usually play bovada and ignition more than anywhere else, and that is because they both have live poker. They usually have some new games added every now and then and more recently they have updated their keno, tri-card, let 'em ride, blackjack and baccarat games. They do seem to have some great progressive jackpots and appear to payout all the time.

Almost all US-friendly online casinos do not report their RTP numbers, either the theoretical settings or the actual numbers. This is because they are not compelled to do so by any regulator. The customer service should not be making up numbers if they cannot provide any evidence to back up their claims.

I don't find a singular number like 97% to be very useful. I would much rather see the individual RTP numbers for each game so I can judge the ones that I am likely to play.

If you have the opportunity to play at regulated NJ sites I would stick to those and avoid the offshore sites altogether as the games, payment speed, and player protection are all better on the NJ sites.

They do not tell you what the RTP% (Return to player %) is. I contacted customer service and they told me it is about 97% but could offer nothing to back up this claim.

I play a lot of regulated NJ online slots and they usually return about 93-96% so I have a good feel for what that looks like. It would just be my guess but with months of playing on Ignition I would guess they are only returning about 70% tops to its players which is awful. You almost never get a win over $5 and to get a win over $30 is something that almost never happens.

update to my review-I recently managed to get up to $2400. I withdrew 1k and not even 10 minutes later it was into my bitcoin acct. I was shocked and impressed. I made the withdraw at 8ish on a saturday night. The last time i withdrew it took 48 hours so not sure if this is a new thing but its great that there is another instant option for us players.

I have made around 7 small deposits at Ignition in the past couple of weeks. I finally was able to request my 1st withdraw two days ago ($900 on $40 dollar deposit) and am still waiting for a response back so im not too sure on how long the withdraw times are.

I called customer service and they answered quickly but I did not like the option of having no online chat. I liked the variety of games so overall I think its a good casino and once I receive my withdraw and depending on withdraw times I will try them again.

I have now played at Ignition Casino about 4 times and have been able to make one withdrawal. I like this casino for the variety of games which differ from the RTG games that I play most of the time as a US player. As noted above the casino offers rival, betsoft, and a small selection of RTG games as well as some very different games which are only offered at a small handful of casinos. The website is easy to navigate and I like that I can pull up games in a separate window without having any issues with resolution, or the game size either being smaller than I prefer or too large for the screen. I do have those issues with some games in other casinos.

The casino does not send out bonus offers regularly but they do offer a 100% weekly boost and a 100% bitcoin bonus. Both of these bonuses require a 25% playthrough B+D which is better than most of the bonus offers available to me on a regular basis. There is a rewards program with unlocked benefits quarterly based upon how many monthly reward points you have been earning for your play , as well a cashback program.

Making a deposit is simple but only available by credit card or bitcoin , while making a withdrawal can be by check, wire, or bitcocin. Players do need to be aware of the following terms , however, which I had no way of knowing when I went through the deposit and withdrawal process. If you do not make your deposit by bitcoin, you will be unable to make your withdrawal by bitcoin. These particular terms did create an issue for me due to my own unique situation, and I had a rather stressful time emailing back and forth with customer service over several hours trying to resolve my problem. Ultimately a customer service representative did call me and worked with me on resolution.

The casino does pride itself on its customer service with the stated aim to have some of the best service out there. The representative that I spoke to by phone was friendly, understanding , and interested in resolving my issue. I would suggest that email support is fine for brief communication or questions, while speaking to someone directly is best for resolution of more complex concerns.

With the exception of my own unique issue with payout, I found that the processing of my withdrawal request was quite rapid. My withdrawal request was reviewed and processed in less than 24hours and since I did finally work out an agreement to receive my payout by Bitcoin my payout was in my wallet in a little over an hour from the time it was approved and processed.

Although clearer terms while navigating the cashier for deposit and withdrawal would have made my experience more optimal I can definitely say that I am overall satisfied with play at this casino, feel that they are trustworthy, and will play in the future.
