Fly Casino is an online casino established in 2013 with games supplied by Playtech. It is operated by Peak Interactive N.V. and is registered under the jurisdiction of Curaçao. Last updated: March 8, 2019.
Fly Casino is a newly launched Playtech casino from the owners of long standing and well respected Omni Casino, which has been in operation since 1997. To tell the truth after playing at this casino I am still puzzled as to what the "Fly" part of the name is supposed to mean. Are we talking the 80s/90s rap and R&B description of someone cool (yeah that's right, all the girlies say I'm pretty fly for a white guy), an airline connotation, an annoying insect, or dare I even suggest the mechanism by which one keeps the front of their pants closed? I'm going with cool but it's really not obvious.
In common with most dedicated Playtech casinos these days, Fly Casino allows you to either download and install its software to play on a Windows PC, or for those with a Mac or a reluctance to install anything, you can play in your browser window via their "instant play" casino. The experience is more or less the same so whatever you choose is up to personal preference. This is a modern casino and it shows in the presentation, which is graphically sophisticated, and in the user interface, which is both easy to use and attractive, offering multiple ways of sorting and filtering the 170 or so games that you have to pick from.
Speaking of the games, there is a full set of DC Comics slot machines including Superman, several Batman games that are tied in with the old TV series, The Green Lantern, and Aquaman, to name but a few. Along with this you can play Playtech favourites such as Great Blue, Desert Treasure I and II, and other licensed slot machines such as Rocky, The Love Boat, Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne, The Sopranos, and The Mummy. The games load reasonably quickly, and the newer games in particular are beautifully presented in a widescreen aspect ratio.
For those of you that enjoy games in the casino that aren't slots, Fly Casino offers several variants of Blackjack including standard Vegas rules, Double Attack, Perfect Pairs, and Blackjack Switch, Baccarat, Sic Bo, Red Dog, Caribbean Stud, Pai Gow Poker, Casino Hold'em, and Craps, among others. There are also multiple games of roulette to choose from, both European and American style - though quite why anyone in their right mind plays the American game with the 00 when they have a choice is beyond my comprehension. Video Poker players are also covered with Jacks or Better, Joker Poker, Aces and Faces, Deuces Wild and a few others all available in single or multi-hand modes.
There are also many progressive jackpots waiting to be won at Fly Casino. The top two at the time I reviewed the casino were the Monty Python's Spamalot jackpot at €1.8 million and the Funky Fruits jackpot which was almost €1.5 million. The jackpots are pooled between all casinos that run Playtech software, so players from all over the world are contributing to them as they play, pretty much all day, every day. Unlike many Playtech casinos that have a horribly restrictive withdrawal policy that could see players waiting decades to be paid in full, Fly Casino pays progressive jackpot winners in instalments with the monthly amounts scaled according to the jackpot size such that winners will be paid in full over a period of around 12 months.
The security of your gameplay, financial and personal information is protected at Fly Casino by an SSL encrypted connection at all times. Identification checks are usually carried out on your first withdrawal, so if you would like to speed up the process I advise you to get your documents approved up front when you first register. The casino has a huge number of deposit and withdrawal options, with all major credit cards and e-wallets accepted, along with several country-specific bank transfer methods. As we mentioned above, Fly Casino pays progressive jackpots in instalments of up to €300,000 per month, depending on the size of your jackpot win. However it is disappointing to see that non-progressive winnings are subject to the familiar Playtech withdrawal limitation of €10,000 per month, particularly for those of you that like to play at high stakes.
I made two withdrawals from Fly Casino for the purposes of this review, one to Neteller and one to a Skrill account. Both were held for 48 hours in a pending state, during which time I could have reversed the withdrawal and resumed playing with the funds, before being paid within another day for around 3 days in total waiting. I contacted support and asked if the reversal process could be skipped or flushed, but was informed that Playtech's systems do not allow the casino to do it. Instead they offered to temporarily freeze my account until the withdrawal was paid. I guess this would stop the more weak-willed of players from reversing, but doesn't help those of us who are just looking for a quicker withdrawal. So the payouts are definitely not the fastest, yet they are reliably paid within the advertised timeframes, and this matches with my experience of the owner's other casino, Omni Casino.
Customer support is offered 24/7 via live chat, telephone and email. Personally I find live chat to be the most convenient way of talking to someone at the casino, and it is good to see this option available at all hours, especially for those of us who live on the other side of the world to Europe.
Fly Casino is a great choice for someone looking to play Playtech's casino games. The operator has a solid track record, support is good, and the games are excellent. The payment process could be improved, both in speed and in terms of monthly limits, but if you can live with these relatively minor issues, then Fly Casino is well worth a try.
