Review of English Harbour Casino
English Harbour Casino was first opened in February 1997 and is one of the most stable casinos around that still accepts U.S. players. It is owned by E.H. New Ventures Gaming, Inc., owner of several other online gambling brands, and the whole operation is run out of Antigua.
No longer in operation
E.H. Gaming Ventures closed all of its casinos in mid 2011.
Games and software
The software used by English Harbour is from Vegas Technology (formerly known as Odds On). This software is functional without being overly flashy, and the graphics and sounds are crisp and quick to load. The interface is very responsive so you expert table game players can fly through your games without waiting for slow animations to complete.
The software developers have created several slots that are clearly "inspired" by famous television shows, movies, and game shows, without the expensive licensing fees associated with using the official brands. For example you should check out The Reel Deal, a slot version of the popular television show Deal or No Deal where you play the suitcase game in the bonus round. Apart from that there are many original slots machines, several progressive jackpots, a variety of table games and video poker too - in total over 60 games to choose from.
Bonus offers at English Harbour
English Harbour has a sign-up bonus of 100% match which allows you to play most games in the casino, albeit at different rates in terms of clearing the wagering requirements (see above). Aside from the initial bonus, you also get monthly bonuses through the loyalty program, of which you automatically become part of when you sign up
But the real attraction lies in the bonuses given on certain days of the week. For example you get a 25% bonus of up to $250 on your first deposit on Mondays. If you deposit on a Wednesday, you get 50% extra bonus, also up to $250. On a Friday, you can get as much as a 100% extra bonus of up to $250.
Regular Tournaments
Another excellent feature offered by English Harbour is its wide array of casino tournaments. The tournaments are all run in synch with the other casinos in the E.H. Group, and this allows them to offer substantial prizes. Multi-thousand dollar slots tournaments are held four or five times a month. Then there are daily slots, blackjack, hold'em, and video poker tournaments only requiring a $5 buy-in, and last but not least are the daily slots freerolls which give you a chance of winning some extra bonus money without risking anything of your own.
Quality of Customer Support
Customer Support at English Harbour is good. You can readily access their help through email or telephone, or live chat. You can chat with support online and ask them whatever questions you may have. This live support is available from 8am to 4am, 7 days a week.
Banking Options
The options through which you can deposit and withdraw your money are many and varied. The options include Visa, NETeller, Wire Transfer, ECO card, Moneybookers, and Click2Pay among others. Players should take note of the $5000 per week withdrawal limit. In our experience, withdrawals larger than this are broken up into weekly payments and, unlike some other shifty casinos, you do not have to keep logging into your account to request a new withdrawal each week.
English Harbour is a dependable option for players from the United States and elsewhere. It has a good selection of games, many original and exciting tournaments, and a proficient support and management team.
Comments
I am a big fan of English Harbour. I play there quite often and have never had a problem playing or withdrawing my money. My favorite aspects of this casino are the facts that they offer Progressive Black Jack and tournaments every day of the week. This is great because once you participate in one tournament you are offered entry into future tournaments at no cost. It really is a good casino and very reputable!
