Review of BlingCity Casino
BlingCity Casino opened its virtual doors in 2014 and is a Malta licensed casino that is owned and operated by BlingCity Ltd. The casino sports slot machines, table games, and video poker from Net Entertainment and provides its services to select markets throughout the world in both English and Swedish languages.
Software and games selection
Despite my initial misgivings upon first hearing the generic sounding name, I was mightily impressed by the casino's website. it has a unique and distinctive theme that allows you to pick a "citizen", which is a beautifully hand-drawn avatar or character to represent you as you play through the site. As you play you can advance up a 50 tier VIP status ladder and earn "Blings" which are an in-casino currency that can be exchanged for free spins on various games.
There are no software downloads or installation of any sort at BlingCity Casino, and I was able to play every one of the 100 or so games directly through my web browser. There is also a mobile casino site, which allows you to play your games on your smartphone or tablet, although the gaming selection is limited to around 30 games on this platform.
In total there are more than 80 slot machines available, with nearly every non progressive slot that I have ever encountered at Net Entertainment casinos being offered. The latest releases at the time of this review, such as Steam Tower, Tornado: Farm Escape, and The Invisible Man, were all available when I played there. There are some notable missing games though, as apart from Cosmic Fortune the casino has no other progressive jackpots. This means that you do not have access to the famed multi-million Euro games such as Mega Fortune, Arabian Nights, or Hall of Gods.
Table games are another disappointment with Bling City Casino’s library. Baccarat, Blackjack, and Roulette are the only games available for play in this department. There are four different video poker games offered, but once again these take a backseat to the slots.
Favourable bonus policy
The bonus policy is worth mentioning here because BlingCity does players a few favours with its rules. Firstly the casino operates by the favourable "early withdrawal" rule, which means that you risk your real cash before any bonus money and you are allowed to withdraw at any time if you have not yet wagered any of said bonus money. In practice you can claim a bonus then choose to forfeit the bonus money and associated wagering requirements and withdraw your winnings if you are lucky enough to have a big win early on. In addition the casino actually promises in its terms and conditions to never offer a bonus with wagering requirements that are greater than 40xB. That is a welcome policy that I have truly never seen before at an online casino, so let us hope that the T&Cs are not changed in this respect in the future.
Banking and Customer Support
Banking at Bling City Casino is fairly standard for a European facing casino. There are several ways for players to deposit and withdraw money from the site including major e-wallets Neteller and Skrill, credit cards, bank transfers, and other assorted options. The cashier has a €2000 withdrawal limit per transaction, but you are able to queue up as many transactions as you like in a single day. There is a restriction on the payment of massive wins though, with withdrawals of more than €100,000 being paid in 10 monthly instalments. My first withdrawal was held while the casino verified my identification. This process took around half a day to complete, and the money was paid back to my Skrill account within the next 24 hours.
Support is available every day of the week from 10am to midnight (CET) via email, live chat or telephone. This will suit European players fine, but may leave players from different parts of the world with a bit of a wait to contact someone should they have an enquiry. After signing up I contacted live chat to query the above-mentioned bonus policy and the operator was able to give me the correct answer in clearly understandable English.
Security, fair play, and responsible gaming
Bling City Casino does not publish their security procedures on their site, but I can confirm that they use standard SSL encryption to help protect your identity and payment information while playing there. The casino also promises that they will protect your privacy and information, meaning that they should not be selling your personal information to other casinos or marketers. As is the norm for Net Entertainment games, you can read the theoretical RTP numbers when accessing the help file by clicking the small question mark button in the bottom left corner of each game. Apart from this, the casino does not publish any audited real world payout percentage reports.
On the responsible gaming side of things, BlingCity implements a Play Safe Profile, which learns your betting limits, play sessions, and loss limits. If you end up exceeding any of these, the casino requires a cool off period before you can continue play. I consider this to be a very good policy that ensures Bling City does everything possible to ensure you are playing responsibly.
Bling City Casino does a lot of things right, but it is fair to say that it lacks that little extra to make it stand out from the many similar casinos with the same games. The site is both attractive and functional, the bonus rules are favourable, and the banking and responsible gambling controls are all up to par. However in these days of mega casinos with hundreds of games from multiple developers, BlingCity loses a little of its lustre in comparison.
