Solo payments at online casinos
The card was launched in 1997 and the idea is to use it on deposit accounts and for customers who did not qualify for the Switch (Maestro) card. These customers can include minors as well as people with bad credit history or credit ratings, allowing for them to have a card that has access to their current accounts. The card can only be verified electronically, similar to Visa Electron. Most banks will issue this card more freely then others because before a transactions is approved, the cardholder’s account is checked and the transactions will go through only if the customer has sufficient funds. This is definitely a benefit as you know you will never go into overdraft or spend more than you can afford.
The Solo card is processed through the Maestro card system and this gives it additional security and benefits. Merchants that trust and use the Maestro card system will usually accept Solo. Still, because this card can be issued to minors there are some steps that will be taken check the age of the customer. There are many online casino with strict age polices which for this reason will not accept Solo at all.
