Blackjack Switch Guide

Blackjack is a game played with a minimum of two cards, and the goal is to reach card values to 21. In this game, aces can be valued at 1 or 11, whichever is the preference of the player. Jacks, queens and kings of any suit are valued at 10 each and the rest of the cards from 2 up to 10 are valued at their face value. Blackjack switch is just a recent variation to the classic game and adds more thrills to it.

Playing Blackjack

The aim of blackjack is for players to reach 21 without going over it. Each player gets a turn to either stand or receive more cards from the dealer. Wagers are placed before the dealer hands out the cards and the players have the option of quitting or announcing their surrender due to the value of the cards they got or to get more cards to reach 21. They are given a maximum of five cards, and if this still does not reach 21, then they automatically win. This sounds easier than it really is.

There are many things to consider while playing blackjack, like the value of the cards you have been dealt and the possible cards left in the deck. Most players who get below 15 are obliged to get another card while those 16 and above have the option of standing or adding more cards.

Blackjack Switch

Blackjack switch is a variation to the classic Blackjack game. Players can play two hands at the same time with bets of the same amount for each hand. The right hand is initially played and then the left. The players are given the choice of switching the second cards to make a better value for both his hands. The catch with Blackjack Switch is that the dealer does not lose or get busted when he reaches 22. Instead, it is considered a push where both you and the dealer have equal hands and your wager is returned to you, unless one of your hands gets a blackjack and this wins. If the player’s hands are greater than the dealers, they both win.

Other rules for Blackjack switch are that the dealer stands if he gets a 17 and that a hand may only be split one time. All other classic blackjack rules apply when playing blackjack switch. Blackjack switch adds to the excitement of playing blackjack but not all land-based casinos have this game in their facility and so with online casinos.
