Roulette is played with a small wheel with pockets at the bottom. These pockets have a number inside each one of them ranging from 1 – 36. Each pocket is arranged in the wheel with alternate colors, black and red. One pocket also has a zero on it, and it is colored green. As the wheel is spun around by the croupier, he will also eventually spin a small smooth ball into the opposite direction of the wheel’s spin and wait for the ball to fall into one of the pockets. Players try to foresee where the ball might fall and place their bets on their favored number before the croupier starts the spin.
