Operators Challenge Malta License Suspensions

This story was published more than 8 years ago.

Internet betting operators FenPlay, Betsolution4U, and Uniq Group Ltd have all reportedly challenged the suspension of their gaming license by the Malta Gaming Authority, threatening legal action should they be exonerated of criminal activity.

The groups are threatening to sue the MGA for millions of euros should they come out clear in a criminal investigation. Last week the gaming regulator suspended the gaming licenses of the groups after it was revealed that Italian law enforcement are investigating the firms for links to organized crime, including money laundering and fraud.

The MGA is completing its own investigation, and no further details have been revealed as of yet. Casino Listings will update this story as more developments arise.
